  1. A couple tonight from Frankie Jones, I’m liking this version with U Brown , you don’t hear many of his tunes these days and this great riddim
  2. Very true Maude, but when I played the Sean Hurley signature precision I swear I sounded exactly like him 😁
  3. When I was checking out Yamaha basses a few years back they had a few nice signature ones , they had, Nathan East - John Patitucci - Billy Sheehan
  4. For me it was Natural Mystic from the Exodus album , it’s the first album I learned to play all the way through, I still play it now occasionally , wonderful basslines
  5. Joel bought a pedal from me , absolute pleasure dealing with you Joel, top man ,many thanks 🙏
  6. I see Andy Baxter is now advertising as the European dealer of Olinto basses , too far away from me ,but good if you wanted to try one out I suppose
  7. Didn’t they use nitro on the headstocks and that’s why they discoloured more than the poly body from 68 ish
  8. What’s with the holes on the headstock, weird
  9. Never seen that before, what happened to the headstock and body
  10. As above I do sincerely hope no one has fallen out here over a difference of opinion, it’s subjects like the stack knob dating and similar that I think we (certainly me) can really learn from, @Rick's Fine '52 and @Hellzero your knowledge and experience here is greatly appreciated, as is everyone’s , I do hope you will stick around 🙂
  11. I’m going with this, i remember buying it, I think you might like this Tandro, you get 5 points if you can guess which film they played it in
  12. Welcome GrandfatherGroove
  13. That’s the track I heard a little while back and it sent me on quite a search for all his other songs, can’t say I liked them all but there’s certainly some great ones , I think lots are covers, not sure if they all are
  14. It’s an oldie and a cover by Barry Biggs but I’m enjoying playing this at the moment , nice Bassline
  15. Nice one stew, there’s nothing like a really sweet reggae Bassline to play, less is more sometimes, good luck with your band
  16. Isn’t this where a blacklight test would show any difference, I’ve seen some pictures where nitro finishes are green colour and overspray is a different colour, only what I’ve read about though, and seen in some descriptions
  17. Ah yeah thanks didn’t see that, only looked quickly on my phone
  18. They are string mute fixing holes
  19. I’ve enquired many times at the Gallery and they did give me the info when I asked, they have also taken the basses apart and sent me all the pictures I needed, I’ve dealt with Matt before who is very helpful, I agree that more details would be better on their website
  20. Same here, I thought 60-62
  21. Welcome Geoff
  22. Same as my 2008 mim one, it’s the only Mexican one I’ve kept
  23. I’ve had quite a few precisions and the necks do vary, if you don’t want the wider nut ie 44mm I’d stay away from the 60s reissues, the Nate Mendel as mentioned might fit your needs, it was based on a 71 P (41.02 mm) nut , but it only came in one colour I believe which is the red
  24. A bit of Sean Hurley this morning , love this Bassline
  25. That’s very cool mr B , love it
