1. Just ordered one and am looking forward to reading it! Great idea and congratulations on making it happen...
 2. I'm pretty sure we heard one of these at last year's South East Bass Bash in the cab shoot out and it sounded great! GLWTS
 3.
And they say you can't get a good low B string for a budget price.
+1 This has to be the best value 5 string for sale on here at the moment!
 4. Great 'for sale' post! Really good pics and a very cool sound clip.. Nice playing too! And a bargainous price to boot.. What's not to like? GLWTS
 5.
Right, I am definitely going to be able to travel down to this, having arranged to combine with a visit to an old friend in Lightwater on the Friday. I'll put my name on the list later, as I am just posting from my phone atm. Won't be bringing any gear, just the ol' Fender P in case there's a bit of a jam going on. Looking forward to catching up with some of you that I haven't seen for a couple of years! :-)
Great news! And there'll definitely be 'a bit of a jam going on'.
 6.
Really pleased that you've managed to make something positive out of this; have fond memories of him whenever you play!
+1
 7. Always wanted one of these but I don't gig enough to even vaguely try to convince myself that I really, really need one! Don't think I could lift it either as I'm far too puny and unfit.. But I know it would just sound so, so good. Anyway, have a BUMP on me and GLWTS.
 8.
Hard to believe this is still here?? Quality bass with a cool look to it, great pick ups and a bit of a rarity vibe as well.. Priced very competitively too! GLWTS
Still surprised to see this here so have another BUMP on me!
 9.
All sorted now. Thank you everyone VERY VERY much. What a great forum!
+1 Thats what this place is all about...
 10.
Thanks Nik, hope all's well mate. Even I can't think of a reason why you'd need this and the Ampeg All good at Beedster Towers, the monkeys are growing up and the gear collection is thinning at about the same rate
Good to hear that, Chris and, yes, all good here thanks. No, there's no logical reason for me even looking at amps & cabs on here at all since I bought the Ampeg, but since when has that had any bearing on anything where Basschat and GAS is concerned!
 11. I bought a cheap Yamaha BB300 on here about 18 months ago and used it as main bass for about 9 months. In that time, it saw more rehearsal and gigging action than my vintage BC Rich, my Roscoe Beck 5 string and a few of my other more expensive and so called high end basses. I recently had it set up properly and it plays and sounds even better now.
 12.
Useless piece of trivia - Herbie Flowers wrote "Grandad" by Clive Dunn which made No1 (courtesy of "Pointless)
I had heard that somewhere before, Mick. I suppose that is balanced up with playing bass on Walk on the Wlid Side, from a 'cool career highlights ' point of view. But from Herbie's point of view, I suspect writing Grandad has made more of a difference to his quality of life.
 13. Lovely piece of kit, Chris! If I didn't already own that lovely Ampeg rig I bought from you last year, I'd be very tempted by this... Anyway, hope all's well at Beedster Towers and GLWTS. Nik
 14. Love the look of this bass, so have a free BUMP on me!
 15. Great looking bass which definitely has that 'wow' factor! Good thing is, they sound and play as good as they look. GLWTS
 16.
I have no possible use for this. So why am I drawn to it? Gartone kit is top end boutique. This is bargainous.
+ 1
 17.
Looking forward to my first bash! See you all there✌️
Looking forward to seeing you there, Wal!
 18. Another 'just under 2 months to go now' sort of BUMP!
 19.
Again if you don't mind the MM bridge pickup then the Schecter Diamond-P Custom-5 is meant to be pretty decent.
I've had one of the Diamond P Custom 5s for four years now and I really rate it; somehow, it's managed to outlast two Roscoe Beck 5s that I've had too, which is saying something!
 20. Never heard one of these but I used a TE Quatra valve for a couple of gigs a while back, and it sounded absolutely fantastic.. So I bet this sounds just as good if not better! It was using the Quatra valve that finally persuaded me to get a valve amp and I haven't looked back since getting one last October. GLWTS
 21. Fabulous! Goes completely against the grain in terms of modern lightweight cabs, but IMO it looks as cool as you can get, and I bet those two Ev 15" drivers sound amazing.. GLWTS
 22.
Will be along. I guess as Paul Herman will be there I should bring my Wal Mark2!! Should be fun.
Great stuff!
 23. A 'just under 2 months to go now' sort of BUMP!
