1. I've noticed this lately too.. I always try to remember to leave feedback, but don't worry too much if it's not reciprocated when I do - who knows what people have got going on in their lives at any particular time? Having said that, I think the idea of everyone having a feedback thread is an important aspect of what makes buying /selling on here work so well. Especially now there are so many Basschat members compared to the early days of the Forum.
 2. I just can't believe that this hasn't been sold yet? It's looks great and has a classic, cool mojo about it. FWIW, I had an 80s Tokai Jazz Sound bass some years ago and it played and sounded better than a'66 Jazz I owned years ago, so IMO, these Tokais are a real bargain! GLWTS
 3.
Workshop model so currently available... you know you want to...
4.
Interesting listen Nick with very little reference to modern rock/pop (I don't recall a bass guitar being mentioned). It concentrates on the physics of sound and importance of the bass part in the development of music. This, however, may describe my playing better...😉 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/5C7VQGPHs31YJPPYfLP3X81/when-does-noise-become-music
Thanks.. The Noise article is really interesting too. Listened to the podcast in the end and really enjoyed it. As you say, the section on the physics of sound was quite amazing. There's clearly a lot more to the role of the bass in music than I ever thought!

 6. Just wondering if anyone has seen/heard this yet before I put aside some time to listen to it? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07vwg5w The first 30 seconds or sound promising, but I always worry when journalists who are supposed to be informing and/or educating us use a generic term like 'Rock' and then play a disco song, in this case 'Another One Bites The Dust'.
 7.
Sold my old Status a few days afterwards and won a case of old leads!!!
So, there were definitely some successes from the For Sale table then..
 8.
I sold my wireless, and gave my case of leads to the raffle.
Cool
 9. Wow - never seen one of these before.. Such a cool looking bass! GLWTS
 10. Great work Silvia!! Thanks for putting all of that together - it reads really well and the photos and videos bring it to life.. Not sure how much stuff sold in the end Mick, though I did manage to sell my Trace AH300 on the day, which completely surprised me. Nik
 11. Just bought an Eden amp from Geoff and can only echo the comments in the previous 2 posts.. Very friendly to deal with, super fast delivery, great packaging, and of course, a brilliant sounding amp! So I'm more than happy.. Many thanks Geoff!
 12.
Nik, it also goes without saying that you can have it on spec; if it fits, keep it, if not, send it back. We can sort money at a later stage C
Thanks Chris, PM sent.. Nik
 13. Beautiful looking RBV! And with everything included in the deal, that's a pretty good price.. GLWTS
 14.
Hi Nik, will check and get back to you mate. C
Hi Chris I've found them online so no need to worry.. Am just checking my bass to see if the DiMarzio would fit it... Cheers Nik
 15.
Hi Nik, will check and get back to you mate. C
Thanks Chris
 16. Chris, Do you know the dimensions of the DiMarzio pick up, including the distance between the pole pieces? Cheers Nik
 17. Hope so Urb.. It's been a while since we saw you at a Bash, so I hope all's well? Can't believe it was a week ago, already. Where does the time go...
 18. Nice bass ! Always liked the Greco models... GLWTS
 19.
Well we had 46 chatters through the door, with 7 guests gratis totalling 53. So with the proceeds from the door, and the prize table lottery, and of course the tea, coffee and cakes. (The green/yellow/red/orange things was fruit for those who haven't seen such exotic fare before) The total clear profit made for charity was £1005.72p Enormous thanks to all those involved who made it happen, and of course to all our special guests who were so kind to show up and support a grass roots event! Hamster
Fantastic result - well done, everyone!!
 20.
I've got the paperwork at home and will post up some figures tonight for attendance and profits.
Thanks Colin
 21. Thanks Trevor! Same for me too, I'm sure there were lots of people I didn't get round to talking to, so apologies to anyone I didn't speak to.. Like you, the rendition of 'Walk on the Wild Side' was really something special, as was the whole day itself... And I keep remembering so many amazing little insights from the day, such as Herbie's comments about making sure always you take a moment to think about Tempo.. Or, 'play every day if you can, but make sure that you always play something, don't just noodle around'. And the little grain of wisdom that he picked up from Charlie Mingus in 1959 about 'Play and sing, sing and play' was just brilliant.. Simple stuff, but so much behind it! We've had lots of really good talks at previous Bashes, but this was the first one where we had any guests actually performing, so to see John Bentley demonstrate some of his bass lines from Squeeze tunes and talk us through them - how he drew on influences to create them, etc, etc, - was absolutely brilliant! And to see Herbie's enthusiasm and sheer joy when he was playing - bearing in mind how long he's been a pro musician - it was priceless!
 22. Just sold the Captain a Trace Elliot head at the SE Bash... It's always a pleasure seeing John at the various Bass Bashes, and great this time to meet his son Rob, who's going to be using the amp - so hope you enjoy it Rob! Got to agree with MacDaddy, Rob was really making some cool sounds in the Jam Room! So, all good on this one thanks John.. Look forward to seeing you at the next Bash! Nik
 23.
Thanks Nik - you can download the original from Flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHskHvUC5V I've also asked John for friendship on FB, waiting to see if he accepts me.
Thanks
