Pete very kindly agreed to sell me his Elfin Bass and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish with second to none communication. The Bass arrived within 24 hours and was extremely well packaged. Pete is a great Guy and needless to say, but I will - I would heartily recommend him to all on here๐๐ Thanks again Pete and all the best, Tim

MarkBass LM ll 500w RMS Bass Guitar Amplifier complete with a Generic Gigbag and Mains Lead. This is one of the original Made In Italy examples, prior to them moving production to the Far East, it is in exceptional condition with hardly any signs of wear and is fully operational. I would rate this as being 9/10 condition wise, having only being kept as a back up plus home use albeit with my old eyes. Having owned or played umpteen MarkBass amps over the years, in my humble opinion I much prefer the warmth and depth provided by the Mark ll over the more recent Mark lll. I have been told that this is due to the analog pre - amp (which may be responsible for the โthickerโ sound) - as opposed to a digital pre amp on later models? - but Iโm no expert. The Fan on this is very quiet, unlike some of MarkBass amps where I have found the fan can be a tad noisy. The array of tones available from the extensive EQ section are second to none and there is more than enough volume for any Gig unless you were playing exceptionally large venues, where PA support from the D.I. would then obviously be available. The VPF control is very similar to a Contour, or Taste filter featured on many amps these days and is great asset to achieving the type of sound you require, with the turn of a single knob. 500 watts RMS at 4 ohms, or 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms, so plenty of volume wether using one 8 ohms Speaker, or two. It will also give the full 500w into a single 4 ohm Cab. Here are those wonderful Specs we all love : - INPUT impedance 500 Kohm, max. voltage 15 Vpp BALANCED INPUT (XLR) impedance 22 Khom, max. voltage 25 Vpp EFFECT RETURN impedance 22 Kohm, max. voltage 25 Vpp CONTROLS GAIN -80 dB to +23 dB range MASTER VOLUME GROUND LIFT switch on rear panel EQUALIZATION LOW center frequency: 40 Hz; level: ยฑ16 dB LOW MID center frequency: 360 Hz, level: ยฑ16 dB HIGH MID centre frequency: 800 Hz, level: ยฑ16 dB HIGH center frequency: 10 kHz, level: ยฑ16 dB VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) center frequency 380 Hz (cut) VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) frequency range 250 Hz-20 kHz (cut) OUTPUT LINE OUT balanced XLR, max. voltage 10 Vpp EFFECT SEND unbalanced, max. voltage 20 Vpp (pre-EQ) TUNER OUT unbalanced, max. voltage 25 Vpp SPEAKER OUT speakon, 1/4" OTHER WEIGHT 6.39 lbs / 2.9 kg DEPTH 10.1 in. / 25.6 cm WIDTH 10.87 in. / 27.6 cm HEIGHT 2.8 in. / 7.1 cm OUTPUT POWER 300W RMS @ 8 ohm, 500W RMS @ 4 ohm POWER REQUIREMENT 100/120V; 230V; 240V 50/60Hz (Voltage is factory preset according to region of sale) Previously voted โBest Bass Head" and "All-Around Best New Product" by the readers of Bass Player, our top-selling amp has made history with its stunning combination of great sound, compact size and light weight (6.4 lbs). Identical to the head included in all our CMD and mini CMD combos, this unit is truly the flagship amp for the Markbass sound. Its small size allows for easy transportation, but its sound is nothing short of professional. Also offers a bonus XLR balanced input for double bass pickups. Trades - wise, I may be interested in a Mark Bass 602 or 802 Combo - preferably an Italian Jobbie if possible, or maybe an Eden WTX. Postage would be via Parcelforce, fully insured & hopefully delivered within 24 hours, COVID permiting to the UK Mainland only - sorry.

Anyone ever seen the serial number at the bottom of the neck plate ๐ณ๐ณ?
-
The neck from my 1999? P - Special with Truss Rod issues, which I'm told can be rectified by someone who knows what they are doing? - so that won't be me then. This is from the Standard Series - not the Affinity Range Nice Maple neck with some flaming and lovely grained Rosewood fingerboard with minor cracking before the first fret, which I am informed can be repaired quite easily? Lightweight at just 750 gms, so no neck dive ๐ Would make a nice Winter project. Has more of a Jazz profile and nut width, than Precision - 38mm according to my old eyes. Widest point at the butt end looks like 63mm. I can post to the UK Mainland for ยฃ9.95 - Parcelforce 48 Any questions, please give me a shout ๐

The Body from my Squier P - Special Standard Series PJ Pickups. Nice and light, with very good tonal range. There are a few dings and marks, but is generally in good condition. The previous owner fitted a none original pick guard which is not fitted too well around the neck pocket. Selling separately from the neck, as I am unsure of the stability of the Truss Rod after fitting new strings - The truss rod screws in and out, but doesnโt seem to make a great deal of difference to the relief? So Iโm listing it separately in case someone wants it who knows what they are doing. Neck pocket at the widest point looks like 64mm - to my old eyes. Any questions, please fire away.

Withdrawn - Sorry Guys, its playing so well - I can't let it go ๐ Fender Squier P - Bass Special PJ Bass Guitar from 1999 with Gig Bag in good used condition with several marks and blemishes. This is from the Standard Series, not the Affinity range. This P Bass - Special answers the age old question of wether to purchase a Precision Bass, or a Jazz Bass having both P & J pickups. This pickup configuration provides a wide range of tonal options and sounds superb as the P pickup offers the Classic Precision โthumpโ and the Jazz pickup adds clarity, definition and โgrowlโ when required to cut through the mix. The Bass has been nicely set up with a low action, a new set of light gauge strings have just been fitted & comes complete with a lightweight Gig Bag. The three controls are P pickup volume, J pickup volume and a Master tone control, which goes from an old school sound through to a more modern Hi - Fi tone. Another great advantage to the โPJโ configuration is that although the body is a Classic Precision shape, the neck is based on the slimmer, more manageable Jazz Bass width neck, to give improved playability. Can post to the UK Mainland for ยฃ24.95

Bought a Fretless from Tim & everything went like clockwork. Excellent communication and packaging. Thank you ๐๐

Yes, I bought this from Bill almost a decade ago and firmly belongs right at the top of my โBasses I should have keptโ list ๐๐. i later did a trade with Ben for his early 6oโs EB2 Semi - which could very well be number two on the same list. by the way ๐ฌ๐ฌ!! I have to say that whoever is lucky enough to buy this will be a very happy Boy, or Girl as it is a fantastic Bass and it may be worth you adding an accurate weight to the listing Bill, as if memory serves - Iโm very old - it was the lightest P Bass I ever owned, or even played during the past half Century & so it would be a firm favourite amongst us โweightwatchersโ ๐๐๐๐. In fact a figure of โjust a Nats danglyโ under, or a tad over the 8lbs mark may seem incredible, but tends to ring a bell? GLWTS Bill, but some how, I donโt think you will need it ๐๐

Hi, Thank you for the additional info ๐ - I have managed to source a 60mm, 24v jobbie which I am hoping will sort it out and prevent me having to tax the few brain cells I have left in my dotage attempting to fit a voltage converter๐๐๐๐. Although your advice is very much appreciated and would be the sensible, long term solution by as you say opening up the choice of fans in the future๐๐ Thank you again & all the best, Tim

oops, I think you are right - sorry. The hole centres were 50mm - yet another Senior moment ๐๐๐๐๐๐

I looked at these, but unfortunately, they don't do a 50mm 24v โน๏ธโน๏ธ๐๐

Fab, thank you ๐๐

Thank you ๐ - I think there are only two wires on the replacement one - like the original, Iโm just wondering if I can switch the connectors over, or if I will need to connect the new cables to the old ones and therefore retaining the original connector ๐ณ? Than you again for your help ๐ Cheers, Tim

Thanks Guys ๐ The fan noise is only a tad to loud when playing at home, or in the studio. Live it wouldn't be a problem - however, on close inspection the fan does look like it's probably done a few sorties too many ๐. I have been using it for most of the day with the fan disconnected and it didn't even get warm 'at home' volume & as my next Gig looks like being on the twelfth of never, this could be a temporary fix? Obviously, I wouldn't risk using it at live (fat chance) volume without reconnecting the fan. I have ordered a fan which has similar specs to the original, but has a different connector - which will test my minuscule electrical capability to the limit, I can feel a wire splice in the offing as I don't even know if the connectors can be swapped? Thanks again for your help and advice Guys, it is very much appreciated๐๐ All the best, Tim
