Did a MarkBass deal with Seb which went as smoothly as can be expected when using Couriers. He was a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend him to all on here. Thanks again Seb 👍👍
  2. Bought one of Johns excellent P Bass looms with an 'Old School' Cap and now my AVRI sounds even more like a '62 than before. Superb quality and incredibly easy to fit - even for a fossilised old fart like me, plus speedy delivery. Thanks John 👍👍
  3. Alain bought a Cab from me and I concur with all the previous positive comments on here. He is a great Guy and an absolute pleasure to deal with, so I have no hesitation in recommending ead to all on BC without reservation. Thanks again Alain, I'm so pleased it went to a good home 👍👍 Cheers, Tim

  6. Tee Hee 😂😂 - Hope you and yours are OK Martin. I've been playing it today & l'd forgotten just how well it plays - so I think l'm going to withdraw it, otherwise l know l will regret it 🙈🙈
  7. Gallien Krueger MB200 - designed AND assembled in the USA before they moved production to the Far East - up for grabs. I'm sure you all know what these little beauties are capable of - but just in case........ 200w into 4ohms, 140w into 8ohms - but sounds much louder - albeit to my old cloth ears! - 10db pad, four band active EQ section with contour, headphone/line out, XLR out - pre/post EQ, Speakon output, Aux Input - So basically the ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of Bass Amps, with beautifully weighted controls and the Contour switch is Fab. Thermo controlled fan, so quiet as a very small Church mouse in the studio - or bedroom and ideal for silent practise using the Aux. for playing a CD etc through the amp and listening via headphones. Measures only 8" x 7.75" x 1.5" & weighs a mere 2ibs!! How the ruddy heck do they do it?? Fits into a Gig Bag & can literally be picked up with your little finger - honest injun. Complete with GK branded padded Gigbag, original box, owners manual & mains lead In excellent condition with just a small mark at the rear of the top panel. Please see the final pic. Check out Norm Stockton on YouTube doing a demo -
  8. Hohner Headless Bass Guitar Rare Original Passive Model in very good used condition with just the usual marks associated with normal use over the past 30 + years and most of which should polish out - see pics. Included is a Hard Case which is full scale length and has a split in the top - please see photo - plus a few dinks and donks, but it still protects as intended. Being the passive version, there is no battery to worry about, or battery compartment which in many cases are prone to damage. Maple body with ‘Through’ Maple neck and 24 Fret Double Octave Rosewood Fingerboard. The Licensed by Steinberger tuning system keeps this bass in tune far better than a conventional headed bass and is very lightweight at 3.5kg plus being headless, has none of the neck dive associated with many headed basses. Currently sporting Status Hot Wire Double Ball Ended, Light Gauge Round Wound Strings. The EMG Select pickups are very powerful and in my humble opinion, provide a far more natural sound than the active versions with the harsh sometimes ‘iffy’ preamp. The passive controls are Neck Pickup Volume, Bridge Pickup Volume and Master Tone control, which combine to offer a vast array of tonal variations ranging from Old School deep thump, to modern Hi - Fi tones. The Bass benefits from a bridge and fret Set up, which allows a nice low, easy to play action. Postage to UK Mainland only - sorry, in a normal headed size hard case & box, which I guesstimate would be around £25 to £30, or send your own courier or Socially distanced collection, if allowed. Please PM me with any questions 👍👍
  9. Bought brand spanking new and sadly never Gigged, hence the excellent condition with none of the usual Tolex peeling. 250 watts RMS - or as Alex says, 500w of clean power - 8 ohm impedance. Can post to the UK Mainland at cost as I still have the original box and packaging, which would be around £25.00 to £30.00 or arrange your own courier or Socially Distanced collection if allowed. Comes complete with a new Roqsolid dust cover Please give me a shout if you have any questions 👍👍b

  11. Pete very kindly agreed to sell me his Elfin Bass and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish with second to none communication. The Bass arrived within 24 hours and was extremely well packaged. Pete is a great Guy and needless to say, but I will - I would heartily recommend him to all on here👍👍 Thanks again Pete and all the best, Tim
  12. MarkBass LM ll 500w RMS Bass Guitar Amplifier complete with a Generic Gigbag and Mains Lead. This is one of the original Made In Italy examples, prior to them moving production to the Far East, it is in exceptional condition with hardly any signs of wear and is fully operational. I would rate this as being 9/10 condition wise, having only being kept as a back up plus home use albeit with my old eyes. Having owned or played umpteen MarkBass amps over the years, in my humble opinion I much prefer the warmth and depth provided by the Mark ll over the more recent Mark lll. I have been told that this is due to the analog pre - amp (which may be responsible for the ‘thicker’ sound) - as opposed to a digital pre amp on later models? - but I’m no expert. The Fan on this is very quiet, unlike some of MarkBass amps where I have found the fan can be a tad noisy. The array of tones available from the extensive EQ section are second to none and there is more than enough volume for any Gig unless you were playing exceptionally large venues, where PA support from the D.I. would then obviously be available. The VPF control is very similar to a Contour, or Taste filter featured on many amps these days and is great asset to achieving the type of sound you require, with the turn of a single knob. 500 watts RMS at 4 ohms, or 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms, so plenty of volume wether using one 8 ohms Speaker, or two. It will also give the full 500w into a single 4 ohm Cab. Here are those wonderful Specs we all love : - INPUT impedance 500 Kohm, max. voltage 15 Vpp BALANCED INPUT (XLR) impedance 22 Khom, max. voltage 25 Vpp EFFECT RETURN impedance 22 Kohm, max. voltage 25 Vpp CONTROLS GAIN -80 dB to +23 dB range MASTER VOLUME GROUND LIFT switch on rear panel EQUALIZATION LOW center frequency: 40 Hz; level: ±16 dB LOW MID center frequency: 360 Hz, level: ±16 dB HIGH MID centre frequency: 800 Hz, level: ±16 dB HIGH center frequency: 10 kHz, level: ±16 dB VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) center frequency 380 Hz (cut) VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) frequency range 250 Hz-20 kHz (cut) OUTPUT LINE OUT balanced XLR, max. voltage 10 Vpp EFFECT SEND unbalanced, max. voltage 20 Vpp (pre-EQ) TUNER OUT unbalanced, max. voltage 25 Vpp SPEAKER OUT speakon, 1/4" OTHER WEIGHT 6.39 lbs / 2.9 kg DEPTH 10.1 in. / 25.6 cm WIDTH 10.87 in. / 27.6 cm HEIGHT 2.8 in. / 7.1 cm OUTPUT POWER 300W RMS @ 8 ohm, 500W RMS @ 4 ohm POWER REQUIREMENT 100/120V; 230V; 240V 50/60Hz (Voltage is factory preset according to region of sale) Previously voted “Best Bass Head" and "All-Around Best New Product" by the readers of Bass Player, our top-selling amp has made history with its stunning combination of great sound, compact size and light weight (6.4 lbs). Identical to the head included in all our CMD and mini CMD combos, this unit is truly the flagship amp for the Markbass sound. Its small size allows for easy transportation, but its sound is nothing short of professional. Also offers a bonus XLR balanced input for double bass pickups. Trades - wise, I may be interested in a Mark Bass 602 or 802 Combo - preferably an Italian Jobbie if possible, or maybe an Eden WTX. Postage would be via Parcelforce, fully insured & hopefully delivered within 24 hours, COVID permiting to the UK Mainland only - sorry.

  18. The neck from my 1999? P - Special with Truss Rod issues, which I'm told can be rectified by someone who knows what they are doing? - so that won't be me then. This is from the Standard Series - not the Affinity Range Nice Maple neck with some flaming and lovely grained Rosewood fingerboard with minor cracking before the first fret, which I am informed can be repaired quite easily? Lightweight at just 750 gms, so no neck dive 👍 Would make a nice Winter project. Has more of a Jazz profile and nut width, than Precision - 38mm according to my old eyes. Widest point at the butt end looks like 63mm. I can post to the UK Mainland for £9.95 - Parcelforce 48 Any questions, please give me a shout 👍
  19. The Body from my Squier P - Special Standard Series PJ Pickups. Nice and light, with very good tonal range. There are a few dings and marks, but is generally in good condition. The previous owner fitted a none original pick guard which is not fitted too well around the neck pocket. Selling separately from the neck, as I am unsure of the stability of the Truss Rod after fitting new strings - The truss rod screws in and out, but doesn’t seem to make a great deal of difference to the relief? So I’m listing it separately in case someone wants it who knows what they are doing. Neck pocket at the widest point looks like 64mm - to my old eyes. Any questions, please fire away.
  20. Withdrawn - Sorry Guys, its playing so well - I can't let it go 👍 Fender Squier P - Bass Special PJ Bass Guitar from 1999 with Gig Bag in good used condition with several marks and blemishes. This is from the Standard Series, not the Affinity range. This P Bass - Special answers the age old question of wether to purchase a Precision Bass, or a Jazz Bass having both P & J pickups. This pickup configuration provides a wide range of tonal options and sounds superb as the P pickup offers the Classic Precision ‘thump’ and the Jazz pickup adds clarity, definition and ‘growl’ when required to cut through the mix. The Bass has been nicely set up with a low action, a new set of light gauge strings have just been fitted & comes complete with a lightweight Gig Bag. The three controls are P pickup volume, J pickup volume and a Master tone control, which goes from an old school sound through to a more modern Hi - Fi tone. Another great advantage to the ‘PJ’ configuration is that although the body is a Classic Precision shape, the neck is based on the slimmer, more manageable Jazz Bass width neck, to give improved playability. Can post to the UK Mainland for £24.95
