  1. Try Siberian Khatru and their cover version of America. Before I got into them, these were really the only tracks I could get on with. Which is the marvellous thing about music (or art in general), just because others rave about something, doesn't mean it's for you. The amount of big name bands/artists that I can't stand, or find barely tolerable, is quite something.
  2. So much Pedulla Penta loveliness @Chris2112 & @dclaassen. 😍
  3. That amount of space between the stands is unprecedented! I normally have to do a quick tour of a show, followed by a careful trawl. I think I’d have been done in half an hour total here. At least Sheldon has had other ‘clinics’ he’s done whilst he’s here - Guitar Guitar for instance. However, I take your point.
  4. Town Called Malice - The Jam
  5. Hmm, it changes, but currently (and for quite some time) it’s my JMJ Mustang. It really has ‘something’. I make sure I pick up my other 4, but this one sees the most action.
  6. Come and Have a Go If You Think You're Hard Enough - The Mekons
  7. That’s it, it’s hard to define, it’s just… more, without being in your face.
  8. Definitely worth a try, it’s a great sounding bass. The reason I moved mine on was that I couldn’t cope with the weight. Those bezels are brilliant and make the whole thing far more playable for fingerstyle. Good luck.
  9. The Sadowsky pre amp is not nearly as powerful as many out there (I’ve owned an East pre in the past and had many active basses), but I find it adds just the right amount of ‘fairy dust’ to my passive basses (I use the pedal based version). If I wanted an on board pre amp, I wouldn’t hesitate to use a Sadowsky. YMMV.
  10. Nantucket Sleighride - Mountain
  11. No apologies required. It’s just BC form to comment when it’s been a while and 6 years is a while and a half. You’ll get the hang of it. Which leads me to… Back on topic. I see you’re also a Geddy fan (good for you 👍). I think one of the things that we can all learn from messrs Squire, Entwhistle & Lee is that what could kindly be described as a gnarly tone, soloed, is absolutely perfect in a band mix. JE’s mixed tone on The Real Me is one of my favourites of all time, but soloed I hate it.
  12. Who Are You - The Who
  13. That guy has quality photoshop/video skills.
  14. Wow! Zombie thread resurrection 🧟 .
  15. Sounds like an opportunity for a Chowny custom line.
  16. Two of the best Fender playing/sounding basses I have owned have been signature models - JMJ Mustang and Roscoe Beck lV. I’m not interested in buying basses because of the endorsement, it’s all about whether or not it’s a good instrument.
  17. Sounds like the very effect pedal you've been looking for - Geddy Lee, 68.
  18. I Dream of Wires - Robert Palmer/Gary Numan
  19. Hare - Graham Central Station
  20. Right Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue - The Ramones
  21. & bienvenido.
  22. Only once you've been through the, "Something sounds wrong. What's wrong?" loop and other members of the band have given you 'the look'.
  23. War Pigs - Sabbath
  24. I don’t dislike Ed, in fact, I quite like some of his stuff. As you say, this gives us all hope, when we inevitably drop a clanger. My favourite was forgetting to reset the D Tuner from the previous song .
