  1. Just making sure that there was a right hand sided one. I need to go and check the dims on the Hipshot site, these may be the very thing.
  2. I assume that the clover 4+1 set were used on a MusicMan style head.
  3. I was going leap in and promote my Class D, Phil Jones Flightcase (which is marvellous BTW) but live, I use it with a PB300, powered cab for more oomph, which, upon checking, is Class A/B (still super light though). Therefore, I have nothing to add except confusion.
  4. It took me a long while to get past Geddy's high tenor and the '80s albums helped with that, but once you get past it, it suddenly works. Peart's lyrics can be a tad 'shaky' but every one of those there's multiple Red Sector A and Far Cry.
  5. I think that’s what I like about them, they’re an embellishment, not the raison d’être of the song as with a lot of guitar heroes. However, when listening and he fires up the solo, it’s almost always an ‘oh yeah’ moment. Definitely a band that was the 3 of them in symbiosis. I’m not a fan of everything they did, the 80-92 period is my favourite. I’d dearly love for them to release a remixed Clockwork Angels, as I dislike that mushy production.
  6. It looks good, When it’s paired, with that pickup, On a Stingray.
  7. I don’t think Alex gets nearly enough plaudits, especially for his rhythm playing. Geddy and Neil are revered, not so much Mr Lifeson. Plus he’s hysterical.
  8. I am grateful to this thread for helping me dodge a bullet. Despite really wanting to play with others again (I moved 525 miles north in late 2020) and someone mentioning that the bass player in their church had moved away, so they needed a replacement, this thread gave me pause and I’m very thankful for the honesty shared here 🙏. Had I taken up the offer, I don’t think I’d have been able to bite my tongue (unusual for me) and some home truths would have been dealt out.
  9. I Can’t Drive 55 - Sammy Hagar
  10. Lithium - Nirvana
  11. Burning Down The House - Talking Heads
  12. The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades - Timbuk 3
  13. Someone Somewhere in Summertime - Simple Minds
  14. This what I have found and don’t like about Comfort Strapps. Good to know.
  15. Up A Lazy River - Hoagy Carmichael
  16. Some '80s crap... Some'80s gold...
  17. Pressure Drop - Toots & The Maytals (and Robert Palmer).
  18. I’m a ‘60s child and am not a fan of that decade, although I’m aware of its significance. The ‘70s were good for what I was listening to, but it’s the ‘80s I like the best. Yes, like all decades, there was a goodly amount of dross, but there was so much good stuff, at least to my ears (see @Rich’s post above for some prime examples) and it was when I was first drawn to play the bass (Pino). For me, it’s the ‘90s where music went to die (at least post ‘91). However, if you were into Britpop, you’ll love that period.
  19. Who has the courage to potentially split the front runners?
  20. Nice, bummer about the wait though (cue drumming of fingers on any available surface for the next year). Did you try a Lionel first or have you gone on trust, BC opinions and instinct?
  21. I see what you've done there - kudos.
  22. Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love - Van Halen
  23. Good morning, Senõr and wilkommen.
