  1. Well deserved Lenny! I think I called this one early. It's the kind of thing I'd probably listen to even if I didn't HAVE to!
  2. Yeah, the general feel is quite dark. You weren't expecting that?
  3. Try pulling gently on the pot as you rotate it. If this improves it, it could be a mechanical rather than electrical problem, I. E. The pot wiper contacts aren't acting on the track with sufficient pressure.
  4. I would say it's a stronger crop this month. Will need a few listens to sort this one, though my favourite at first listen was Lenny's
  5. I've got one of these in my rehearsal studio. Very solid!
  6. I've done a new mix as I wasn't happy with the balance of the last one, brought out the percussion and phased guitar a little more. No more faffing around now!:
  7. I'm in at last! Like many people, I was initially amused by the video "how to play a groove in 13/8". Hmm, I thought...🙄 I wouldn't exactly call it a groove though, and it does have bits of 6/8 too 🤪 May 2020 BassChat composition challenge entry. I didn't make it easy for myself, the timing is somewhat fluid in places. At least you can tell it's not programmed on a grid. Features a first appearance of my new guiro (on the left), kindly made for me by my good friend Timi Sp8. all done in Reaper again, Godin Solidac phased guitar, Gordon-Smith 12-string electric, US Masters fretless bass bass and US Masters (with flats) "Lead" bass with a bit of octave on.
  8. How about the Behringer X18 and a cheap tablet? The Xr16 will record direct to a memory stick, but only the stereo master outputs. The x18 will record all tracks separately, output via Usb, but you'd have to use a daw to gobble that output up. I don't think there's a way you can write all your tracks directly to a stick
  9. The Kramer is not a bass I'd recommend if you don't like clanky!
  10. Well done Bob, well deserved. You clearly put 1000% more effort into yours and it shows! I voted for it, good work that man!
  11. It's close! More people need to vote and put us out of out misery!
  12. It may even be inscribed on the other side of the switch?
  13. Finally got round to voting. Might have voted for Lenny, but knocked a couple of points off for using a different picture
  14. If it's 2 position, it will be a double pole double throw. The middle pin in each row switches to either side. The 2 rows are independent, but can be linked to perform more complex functions.
  15. Push-push switches for me, much nicer to use than push-pull
  16. You're going to haggle your friend?
  17. Thanks for posting that clip. I didn’t remember that being filmed. I was there right at the back
  18. Do they use massive strings to get the tension?
  19. I may have missed this somewhere in the thread, but how are these tuned?
  20. I liked that. Sounded nothing like Clark or Pastorius, other than he was playing a bass.
  21. My local sorting office was on strike last week apparently, over lack of adequate distancing and measures at work.
  22. Ah, we're back to 3 votes again. Will have to listen again in case I missed one...
  23. I'm another with more guitars than basses. 1974 SG Special Godin Solidac 96 Korean Squier Tele Eggle Berlin Pro 93 (yes, another Eggle!) Gordon -Smith GS1 12STRING Art & Lutherie Ami parlour acoustic Will do a picture if anyone is interested
  24. Yeah, I noticed soundcloud stopped working properly on my old kindle the other day. Some kind of stupid update I suppose
  25. I wish I'd put a few hundred more guitars in mine now, Bob! Good stuff!
