That just reminded me, one thing you never see these days is acoustic lenses. You used to see them in big PAs back in the 70s. I guess it's for mids/treble not bass though..
I bought one on behalf of a friend which came with a pink fake-fur strap. I didn't notice any neck dive so maybe that's the answer!
I liked it so much I didn't want to hand it over.
Good win dude! Lucky boy!
As above, I would be interested to hear your opinion how it sounds. I think going up to 6kHz would cover my need for top-end without adding a tweeter.

does anyone know if this BF uses a separate amp for the woofer and tweeter? It's not mentioned on their website. Does the DSP negate the need?
I always liked to balance the flat level of the active circuit to the passive level so if the preamp failed for whatever reason I wouldn't need to faff about too much with levels on the amp to stay in the game. I find with my U-Retro, I can't turn the pots on the preamp down far enough for the levels to be at parity, for the same setting of the guitar volume knob. That's running at 9 Volts too, though the voltage has less to do with gain than headroom, I believe.

I'm now waiting for MoonBassAlpha to ask us what this has to do with the discussion. I must get some work done.......

Sorry, it's the relevance Police's day off today
+1 for Tru-Oil. It CAN be built up to give a shine with enough layers and elbow grease, but a couple of thin layers wiped on gives a fairly natural feeling finish and the colour change is about like lightly dampening the wood.
Replace the saddles with vintage-style ones that have threads on the barrel like this:

How about a vertical oriented isobaric 8x 15, 4 speakers high but with the rear speakers wired in antiphase and facing rearward. Would that work?
[/quote]
I meant to add, the rear facing speakers are not in a sealed box, they're radiating rearwards. There must be a reason it wouldn't work, enlighten me!

Is that before or after you got banned??

What on earth relevance is this comment to the discussion?
The biggest gig I ever played was depping for a student band supporting the Vapours at the height of their pomp.
Temporary Floor Hazard
World of Carpets was an Oxford band, apparently even worse than their name.
I don't buy many singles, especially 12", but got lucky with Under the bridge - A great version of Iggy's Search and Destroy and Sikamikaniko, a great cut that didn't make BSSM, but IS in Wayne's World. Hard and funky, great B-side(s)

A lad I know had a band called The Urban Valley Chickens.

I worked with a chap who had been in a band called Boiling Chicken. The main guy was a butcher.
