1. Shame it seems to have ground to a halt at 45K...
 2.
Now 2 300!!!!!!
If only that meant 600 lol!
 3. for anyone else looking for Yamaha spares, Yamaha can always put you in touch with companies that stock spare parts. I managed to source a battery housing for my '99 TRB4 II as recently as last year!
 4. Just about the worst thing I have ever seen!!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222419696883
 5. Could be one or more frets may have raised and need to be reseated. Have a look at the frets from side on to see if any look higher than the others.
 6. What difference does it make? You either want to sell your bass or you dont. Their money is as good as everyone else's. If you werent happy with the amount offered then you could turn it down. They are under no obligation to identify who they are when buying your bass.
 7.
Must be some mega overheads/wages at £600 markup for 2 days!
Yeah because they have a crystal ball that tells them thats how its going to happen! It could have been two weeks, two months or two years before that bass sold. In that time they have cash tied up in that instrument and overheads to cover. If you sold it to them the presumably you got what you wanted for it. Not sure what your problem is with a business making a profit...
 8. I just use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Use a paintbrush for the bridge to free the dust so the vacuum can do the rest.
 9. Could be a chancer or could be I misguided or misinformed person looking at the price of other US Fenders...
 10.
http://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Status_Series_2000.html If anyone wants to know anything about this feel free to ask! Just how much do they charge for a polish and string change!!??
Yeah, not like they have overheads or staff to pay I guess... It's already gone though so guess their price wasn't too unreasonable either...
 11.
And yet, the world carried on without him . . . and all those other so-called influential people of their generation who died 'too soon'. I don't mean that disrespectfully, just pointing out that life is very short and ultimately meaningless, so make the most of it while you can.
If it's meaningless why make the most of it? At least you chose your username well.
 12. I dont know dude it's not mine. I just posted it because I thought it was a bargain for someone here...
 13. https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/bass-musicman-hard-case-velvet-interior/1218102324 Seems like a bargain to me!
 14.
Ok if you really must know! There are two options. One is to flag as a spammer. This stops the user posting anything including PMs. It's a one click solution but doesn't move the member to the 'banned' user group which just changes the name under their avatar. I sometimes use this if I want to look into a user more thoroughly later on but stop them using the site immediately. The second option is to 'ban' the user, which means one of two things. One is to essentially do exactly as it says above, but manually. The last step of the manual process moves them to the banned group but otherwise just a long winded way of doing the same thing. I can't do it easily from my iPad or phone. Occasionally I'll ban a user from posting and allow them to PM if I'm trying to investigate a scam and want to give the user a chance to speak to me directly. You probably don't know it but behind the scenes we spend a tremendous amount of time helping people with problems and it's never talked about on the forum so rest assured we'll be doing lots of things to help everyone we can. This includes cooperating with the police, asctng as a go between between two members with a dispute and exchanging information about scammers between other sites. The mods are amazingly helpful with all this despite our official position being that we don't take any responsibility. Any more questions feel free to ask, there's a very good reason for doing what we do and the software limitations might not always make it clear to the outside observer what's been done. You'll notice that as soon as I had a message about this the guy was flagged and I spent a day investigating him and speaking to colleagues. In due course I'll Ben speaking to others on this thread and seeing what I can do to help.
Hi Ped, thank you for taking the time to expalin all that. Hopefully everything is now clearer for all those that needed clarification. As a relative newbie I was merely playing devil's advocate. I have been a member of various forums for many years and now the hrs of thankless work that is put in by mods so I know it's not an easy job. Keep up the great work, it is an amazing forum! cheers, Chris
 15.
Dyerseve - there's a difference between inappropriate comments and trolling or making thinly guarded accusations.
No doubt. But if there's nothing to hide then why not just say 'we cant ban because of x, y or z'. If you are running a forum where members are handing over their hard-earned to access certain areas of the forum then you need to be prepared for a certain degree of transparency IMO.
 16.
Sorry about that folks normal service has resumed
is there nothing we can do to help this guy Mateusz thats just been scammed? Surely that's more important than telling off fellow BCers for inappropriate comments?
 17. You can buy them from Warwick. Not sure of the specs but you could always change the pup screws to suit: http://shop.warwick.de/?&lang=en&modul=shop_new&site=shop_overview&&ctree=D0405358001321517424A43801|D0415825001321517431A46507|D0453689001321517431A46535
 18.
Well, Dave Gilmour must have been duped in '87 when he got GP to play and has done, on and off, for a couple of decades. Roxy music were aslo duped into thinking the same thing
Exactly! Floyd's A Delicate Sound Of Thunder live concert features Pratt and is my favourite of their live performances and Pratts playing is phenomenal.
 19.
Of course it does. Thats why i posted this thread...whats your point ?
I misread your post sorry
 20.
I have an old bass that has crappy pots but great pickups... I don't want to spend much, or take the time, to be honest to rebuild it, but I was just wondering if I could do a quick mod and send the pickups directly out to an amp - bypassing volume, tone and all other circuitry in the bass - just straight out signal Has anyone tried this with any success? Thanks! cheers, Dan
Pots cost a couple quid. Why not just sort it properly so you can retain the features of the volume and pickup selector pots.
 21. Damp microfiber cloth. Add a touch of fairy liquid for stubborn marks
 22.
Someone's already said that this is a problem that's never needed solving which is why they've never caught on.
I think it's a great idea if a little unsightly. I welcome this type of thing rather than yet another P or J bass. Can't believe people are moaning about the playing in the vid? I wish I could play that badly!
 23.
Westone Dynasty Bass http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westone-Dynasty-Electric-Bass-80s-Matsumoko-Red-Hard-Case-Rare-Elektra-4-string-/292027567807?hash=item43fe330ebf:g:uo8AAOSwx6pYodQt
I never want to see one again!
 24.
He must be able to read though ? I mean, it doesnt say Fender or Straocaster on the guitar anywhere.
It does on the title of the auction - at least on my phone.
