1. Bump to correct that only the Warwick Straplock set now left! Sorry Mart!
2.
I believe that is that is streamer stage 1.
Hey, beautiful pair of blondes you have!! Thanks for your comment. This one definitely says 'Streamer Bass' on the truss rod cover. It was my initial thought that it was made before Warwick had the Stage 2 so it was the "only" Streamer they had. But I thinkthat theory fally down because I seem to recall seeing both Stage 1 and Stage 2s from before 1990 when mine was born...
3. I recently finished restoring this beauty, a 1990 Warwick Streamer with a broadneck and barts. I really need to take some better photos that better show the flaming in the maple, but for now these will have to suffice: btw, can anyone tell me the difference between this Streamer and a Stage 1 please as I cant see that there is any difference? Mine has a 2 band EQ and is active/passive. Because I want it to be as versatlie as possible I will be installing switches to select between coils on each of the barts, should be fun and rewarding! As it is though, it is the best bass I have ever owned or played in terms of tone. It snarls like a rabid dog if needed but can also be tamed and shaped to whatever else you need it to be. I think this is THE bass for me!!!
4. sweet baby jesus that is a beautiful bass!!!
5. I can't see the photos on my mobile. Anyone else have this problem?
6. Final price drop bump. Now £525 inc shipping within UK.
7. For those of us not in the know, what is a Wal JG bass and how do they differ from a "normal" Wal?
8.
Looks like Camphor burl or Thuya burl to me!
I believe it is walnut burl.
9. very tempted to buy this back but I will resist and let someone else have a turn! deal with Stuart with confidence!
10. Just the Warwick Straplock set now left!
11. definitely not a pro job at converting it to its present shape. looks more like a hack to me...
12. Stuart purchased my Status bass from me last week. Paid immediately, great communication and a pleasure to do business with.
13.
Bit hard to tell from the pic, is the wood just compressed or is there a chunk missing? If it's compressed heat/steam will work very well. Rather than trying to describe the process, I would point you to You Tube
In my experience this only works for soft woods. Dense woods are harder to compress and therefore harder to decompress
14. Why not boost the bottom three of the five EQ knobs and turn down the gain and or volume to make the treble roll off more pronounced. Failing that buy an EQ pedal
15. I use 0000 wire wool to clean the fretboard and polish the frets. Mask over the pickups first. Afterwards vacuum the dust off, wipe down with a slightly damp cloth, let dry then use the lemon oil to replenish the oils in the fretboard.
16. Warwick body mounts now sold pending payment
