1. I would contact the manufacturer directly and explain the situation. They may even be able to supply one FOC
 2. great to hear you are sorted and they are still delivering the same high level of customer service!
 3. AFAIK the important thing to look for when choosing batteries is the Ah(Amp hour) rating. The higher the figure the longer they will last(theoretically)
 4.
Just purchased one these Warwicks , the single humbucker version , and when looked inside the back , found that the MEC circuit board has two ` trim ` pots on the corner . Does anyone know what they are for ? No reply from MEC or Warwick . ( did not really expect any reply ! ) Pete
Warwick are normally very good at replying to emails so either wait a bit or try again.
 5.
Not outrageous - £150 - price also included a set up and new nut.
Not outrageous! That is very reasonable money for a job like that, especially given the quality of the repair! Great to see a bass saved from becoming skip fodder! Do you have any before and after shots from the front of the neck please?
 6.
Correct. It's super nice. I realize after playing it a bit that the .174 gauge string isn't seated correctly on the nut. How do I widen the nut to accommodate the extra string width?
Use a nut file. Look on eBay, they aren't expensive. Doubt you will find one the exact size you need but use the nearest size one and apply some sideways pressure to widen the slot each side.
 7. Looks a bit of a bargain to me. That bridge design is interesting too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272587026512
 8.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fender-bass-/172572360550?hash=item282e1d3f66:g:lVgAAOSwzgBYxVN~ Found this on Ebay today, clearly not a genuine Fender, I have messaged the seller and explained why it is not genuine and what it is likely to be....I got the message back "Ok thanks" I assumed the seller may either pull the listing or at least edit it....it appears not. Great target for someone to buy it, wait until it turns up, rightly claim it is not as advertised and get Paypal to refund their money = free bass!
Except they would have to return the bass to get the refund!
 9.
Thanks for the advice on sanding! I'll definitely be on the lookout for that.. My main problem with sprayed lacquer is that I have literally nowhere at home that I could do spraying that wouldn't get me in trouble Could have done it in the old house, but not since we moved. Does anyboy have experience of Tru-Oil applied on a maple neck? From the extra reading I've done since posting the question, it seems like a reasonable finish if applied using the finger tips and worked into the wood. I'm quite happy to spend a reasonable amount of time on this - the journey is as of much interest as the destination
I would just use Danish oil to finish. Dead easy to apply and leaves an attractive and durable finish
 10. Just cannot see what need there is for this bass. Surely a niche within a niche within a niche! As said above I think a dual neck would be a less clumsy solution
 11. I think the bad intonation is the least of it's concerns!
 12. One of the most versatile and amazing sounding basses you can buy! If it wasnt for the flat fretboard I would still have mine...
 13. I have one like this - it should come with a PCI card as well: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DMX-6Fire-24-96-by-Terratec/262886315577?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D299ffc9585f7417d8b8ab05a2748cfb9%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D162201205836
 14. be careful with how hot your bass's output is. I blew the input on a soundcard when I plugged one of mine in - it runs 18V active EQ though. you can get some very decent soundcards which have a front mounted module that is the same size as a DVD-ROM drive that will have 1/4" jack inputs and RCA outputs to make connecting your bass very easy as well as listening to it.
 15.
And the horror continues into the body. Also the G string hangs over the edge of the headstock. Very poor.
I quite like that body but agree the headstock is a very poor design. That nut must of had a hard life!
 16. Try D'angelo's album Voodoo which features the rather talented Pino Paladino! His latest album is also exceptional: https://youtu.be/lZoxdPGu_4E
 17.
Thanks guys, it is just a volume knob I need, as apposed to a full pot. I'll have a look in the market place. Checked Thomann this morning and it defienlty said 30 euros for delivery!
Where do you live? I just checked thomann website and it quoted me 10 Euro for shipping....

 19.
Thanks guys, it is just a volume knob I need, as apposed to a full pot. I'll have a look in the market place. Checked Thomann this morning and it defienlty said 30 euros for delivery!
Seriously, check the Warwick website. There is a shop section and I am 100% sure delivery is 10euro.
 20.
Sorry if this has been posted before! Had a look online and Thomann sell loads of spares but the shipping is 30 euros, for a £5 volume knob... Anyone know of any UK distributors where I can get spares from? Cheers, J.
You can buy from Warwick direct. Shipping is 10 Euro I think. Thomas shopping isn't normally that expensive from what I remember? I thoughy it was also 10Euro?
 21.
That's an abomination.
Considering it could be headless as well, there really is no excuse for such a hideous head. I really like the body aesthetics though.
 22.
Post some bad headstockery please http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222419696883 Many thanks to dyerseve for his original post.
You're welcome. Let's not forget this monstrosity on an otherwise very nice looking instrument: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=229305
