  2. I bought a Sub 5 last December unplayed , not seen in person It's had corrective surgery but now I quite like it . The 2EQ is best it's a heavy instrument , but manageable with a proper strap
  3. @basshead56 has a Teal Sub
  4. surname first - it's how ewe proper use England
  5. The new nut keeps the G string on the board and “aligns” better so it feels wider enjoy your new instrument 👍
  6. Strings as well I am using a tapered B string (Labella flats) neither sheep or football here
  7. I’m assuming to narrow?? My luthier made me a new nut for my Stingray 5 it’s definitely helped my preference is 19mm , it’s narrower than that but way better
  8. L2 Steinberger with La Bella flats FKT Pedal and the old Brown Boss Limiter into an old Ashdown Klystron smooth as
  9. Stanley Banks I reckon
  10. I always thought a Hard No to Reverb on Bass, but the FTK Audio Fretless Pedal I purchased recently has it and , yeah maybe, at certain times, its a nice thing
  11. Listening to it again tomorrow night I can't see it being an issue I virtually never use an Octave live band anyway
  12. Bagman

    Jazz

The “Ashtray” bridge cover would also conceal the ground strip
  13. Bagman

    Jazz

    that's the ground strip
  14. I got the FTK Audio Italy "The Fretless" Pedal maybe a couple of months ago with the Diamond Comp in front and GHS flats it's smooth operator
  15. It was an instance of the Bassist needing Less Moore
  16. Guitarist I was playing with on Wednesday evening said " something changed in the attack of notes"
  17. Ned was clear late 1980's that it wasn't going to work long term I have a beat up L2 April 1983 no leg rest or head piece string adaptor whats the $ value now? i paid $2200 NZ in 1993(?)
  18. the neck feels like a Precision but the nut spacing feels like a Jazz imo
  19. I think it's a good upgrade - well done Boss - I still have a lot of trialing to do I'm keeping the old OC-2 as well though
  20. fretless Stingray 2EQ FTT Silky Comp VCA type Wounded Paw very light overdrive joy to the world
  21. My purchase for next year will be a fretless 5 I practice quite a bit on fretless , lots of slow - mid tempo walking
  22. Here in Aotearoa , the great Neville Claughton imported 3 x L2 in 1984 they were $3300 retail and all sold promptly Pound to NZD was 1/3 so sterling 999 to NZ $3300 sounds bang on
  23. so the Boss OC-5 is "better" than the OC-2 fair call?
  24. I should get one of those L2 is difficult to play sitting down
