  3. 1 year since I got my Warwick Fortress Flashback 5 - it is a very well made instrument - I like it a lot more than I though I would - it is a top bass guitar for trying out pedals - replacing the nut was a good idea by the luthier I use - it's a heavy instrument but balance well standing , I just need a way better strap - strap lock So overall quite happy with this
  4. New Order / Joy Division Sisters of Mercy Siouxsie and the Banshees The Cure brown boss ce-2b and or brown boss bf-2b

  6. so spent a lot of time with this pedal the last 6 weeks used it with 7 different basses and it's interesting the chorus is good but not great I was surprised by how much I like the reverb ( reverb seems counterintuitive for bass) the para eq is very good , the business, very well thought through thanks to @Hellzero to have a go at it they should have called it something other than the Fretless maybe I see these are pricy but worth a go if you can try before buy FKT also make an Octaver Pedal which looks mean
  7. the really unhelpful answer is : Free The Tone Bass Blaster but yeah it's the shit
  8. My old February 1998 Klystron never distorts but can get a little o/d relative to input level and “valve drive”
  9. I've found driving the bass end low hz pumps the red line needle
  10. agree re: Ashdown I still flog my 98 Klystrom head but the CTM-300 truly is the business

  13. Ashdown CTM-300 is the best amplifier I have owned Thinking about the 400 BTA as well
  14. I've never played a JV Squire and only played one "Fullerton" reissue - that was a very nice bass. Considerably better than some late 70's Jazzes I have had a go on with construction / quality standards
  15. there was some talk 24 months ago of Gibson relaunching graphite Steinberger with Ned involved the reason always given for why no more graphite Steinberger's was cost cost cost the second hand , or used, market reflects this - everything I see for L2 or XL-2 is serious coin. It might not be possible for Steve to "price" into this market
  16. Best of luck Steve. Hope it goes well
  17. this needs a tidy up but sort of getting there the Vitoos PSU was a great buy , the Walrus Tuner is good and the Free The Tone pedals really are the business
  18. A lot of EQ options here - trying this FKT Audio pedal with different basses
  19. it took me a touch over 3 years to find an unlined 2EQ Stingray Fretless - managed to secure one March 2021 it was $2400 NZD + 1070 UK Pounds
  20. If I ever make it to England I’ll be visiting Bass Bros.
  21. It looks like a nice instrument, good luck if you proceed with the purchase
  22. I think "Tales" is the best solo Miller LP (not that I have them all) "Eric" , "True Geminis" "Rush Over"
  23. The cover art for the Blue Murder LP is full on homoerotic Pirate action
