Paul Chambers on Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" , I don't play double bass but this album and Chambers playing is magic / spiritual / the business / my earliest musical memory Electric Bass probably Jerry Jemmott on "Completely Well" B.B.King the first tune is called "So Excited" and it's an exciting bassline for sure Joyous Music here

  14. I've not had an Ashdown amp with a built in compressor The Sub is ok IMO but an OC-2 is better The Drive is ok as well but again there's a plethora of Bass OD pedals available now In the late 90's I would sometimes boost the drive ( and mid eq) if I was jamming using a plectrum

  18. I add this with my 2EQ Stingray 5 (with LaBella flats) a boost at 500 and 800

I was lucky enough to get an unlined 2EQ fretless Stingray , I think it was 3 years waiting before one came on the market The Bass was made in 2002 but was hardly played I strung it with Chromes for maybe 3(?) years and this year it's on GHS Precision Flats Never a G string problem , never a "mix" problem takes light Overdrive and Compression very well all in all a top Bass
  20. Compression or Limiter possibly an EQ pedal probably a light overdrive selectively a filter
  21. Pedal Board A the FTT EQ is excellent if certainly more than what I probably require

  23. been using a Klystron since mid 1998 and 7 or so years back got a CTM-300 which is my favourite amp of all time
