  1. Ah right. Also cool.
  2. Is this the @Bassworks bass that he's mentioned on another build thread? Cool.
  3. I know a good home for it and all. Just saying. Heeheehee
  4. I think that's actually called a fleet of Corvettes. There's even a navy one in the middle.
  5. I wish you many happy hours of playing with it.
  6. It's got to sound good though. Fibre neck and EMGs. Passive?
  7. Okay but it would be a shame to lose the contrast in my opinion. The carbon weave on the pickguard sits lovely with the neck.
  8. Welcome WB.
  9. Nice pickguard on the right hand example. I don't normally like them as a personal choice but that's got a good shape to it.
  10. It does sound odd for a B3. Although I've not gigged, I am very happy with the sound through either 'phones or combo.
  11. Welcome Auvke.
  12. I wondered. No need to apologise. I get like that with all the new fangled names for applications and web services. At least neither of the applications are named after orbiting pork like m00np1g! If I recall, Jamulus is not a peer to peer network. Hmmm. I may well contact you and @hiram.k.hackenbacker. I can't say when but thank you both.
  13. Are you doing it for the sound or for the appearance? I imagine the bridge sound will be thinner on the heavier strings and the blend with the neck pickup will allow you to taper off the bottom end or thicken it up before you even touch the tone controls. I'm wondering if the blend works a bit like a midrange sweep.
  14. Oh and it's now a viola... Heeheehee
  15. Thanks Pete. I'll keep it in mind. By the way, the Jamkazam site mentions limitations on the free version and there are premium services. It doesn't appear to support Linux. That might be a deal breaker. I've got almost all the requirements to set up now but for a low bandwidth. The Post Office supply my line and they've managed to award themselves a forty percent rise this year without justification. I have to be in the right frame of mind before I tell them how much better I could do with another service provider. It's a bit tricky because I won't be needing the high capacity broadband that they're all trying to sell with all the bells and whistles. All I need is a landline and a mid capacity bandwidth. I don't use wifi at all so that's one less thing to slow down the connection Oh, and a better interface. I just have a Zoom B3 at the moment. I might be ready in a couple of weeks or a couple of months depending on how much time I get to apply myself to setting up.
  16. Lots of members are reporting back favourably on HB projects. Yours looks well thought out with some well chosen hardware. I agree with Paul; it's not pointless at all. You've ended up with something quite respectable for the outlay whilst learning some of the ins and outs. No doubt you are already thinking about your next.
  17. That is, dare I say:
  18. That's going to look so good in sunlight or stage lighting. It's already captivating.
  19. Much appreciated. Very helpful. Thanks. I particularly like that it is P2P.
  20. That's my point. As a live in carer who is on call 24 hours a day, my time is precious. I don't get paid for what I do either. Free applications invariable are the "lite" (sic) version with other little strings and belt loops attached. It's all I can do to get an hour here and there to practice. I take your point but you have to understand how condescending your comment looked at this end, intended or not. It seems to be the way with folk these days.
  21. There wont be a camera present so it's not really a worry. Is 10Mbps still required for just audio? I have a quarter of that.
  22. I am not wanting anything to do with cameras. The bit I am not sure about is jamming purely by ear as doing it for real I look at the guitarist quite a bit. I suppose you get used to it.
  23. Welcome to the forum Sora.
