  1. Crafty. How are you going to place the strap button(s)? I am assuming that without one or two at the bridge end, the tuners will be prone to striking the floor when someone inevitably assumes it's okay to put the instrument directly on the floor and lean it against something.

    Hi..

Welcome Yorick... assuming you are not jesting that is.
  3. Welcome Davide.
  4. Have you decided the shape yet?
  5. Again, those few nuggets of information have made a lot of sense to me where folk have spoken volumes before and got nowhere with me. Thank you.
  6. Welcome PJ.
  7. None taken... heeheehee. You'll do fine my friend Bonne chance.
  8. Welcome Sam. You'll find the Build Diaries interesting.
  9. ... having first shªt in his slippers. (Possibly OTT?)
  10. Very kind. Thank you. I'm glad you kept it a matt finish. It looks bang up to date and smart.
  11. Welcome Binuche.
  12. Welcome Bassosaku.
  13. ...and the string tree/retainer? (I wasn't going to mention it in my previous post to save you embarrassment but @MoonBassAlpha has no such scruples so yeah... that.) Heeheehee
  14. Good Luck With The Sale... I like your version better though and I'm stealing it.
  15. Andy? Have you any plans to make the cut ends of the strings safe other than cutting them as close to the clamps as you dare? I know from experience that, with headless, you can overshoot so easily if there's no volute and I'd worry about snagging myself on those as they appear in your recent photos. I'm keen to see how you finish the neck end. I'm gathering ideas for my own build down the line somewhere.
  16. It needn't be said but GLWTS anyway. It's smashing looking. Are you putting up any clips for us to hear it?
  17. I believe the rule of thumb used to be 90m for cat5 cable before you needed to address signal loss.
  18. Thanks for the detailed explanation of low pass filtering. I'm one of those who is easily overwhelmed when presented with too many options but your explanation has helped my understanding somewhat. Cheers!
  19. In the interests of transparency, as they say these days, here is a full cast list for The French Connection. Well done that man! It's always good when someone steps up to answer a call for assistance.
  20. That or donate it to me. I'm going through a bit of a Frankenbass phase just now. Heeheehee
  21. Black Beauty.
  22. In a way you would be if you've filled in the PU cavities where the new drill bit needs to bite into a flat surface.
  23. Sorry to hear. Don't bin it though.
  24. Of course they will... If you are the Big J. It's one thing to do the measuring and cutting as described but it's another to achieve the desired effect as well as you seem capable. Respect.
