1. I'm strangely drawn to that last one for some unknown reason...............
2. I had a distinct lack of mwah on my Warmoth when i got it, first thing i did was cut the nut slots down a little, almost bottom the action out and fit a set of Elixirs. Loads of mwah now! Incidentally my old Jazz had bags of mwah, that was a de-fretted rosewood board with cheap rounds on, it was more fretless-sounding than i actually wanted as sometimes i just wanted to play a standard note and it wouldn't let me!
3. Feel free to bid on it, i bid very casualy nowadays cos i've got to sell my Warmoth and don't want loads of basses. I'd rather this go to someone from here, if only so i can snatch it at a later date! I think my Zoot will be staying with me now Wesfinn's bass is an absolute bargain, if my Warmoth goes i'll be having a serious look at that if it's still there
4. I just got outbid on this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=200359389640 Proper custom for £400, barts and aguilar pre Missus comes over in final minute of bidding, asks for me to look for fancy dress stuff for her. After hurriedly closing down this window i lost out by £9
5. Brilliant! Mrs Lemmywinks has just come over to see what i was laughing about. She doesn't get it...
6. They're really easy to play, balance nicely with a Jazz-like neck profile, maybe a little more C shaped. I started playing my Warwick instead of mine but realised something was missing.
7. I think the Chasers and Performers were about £900 new and they don't hold their value all that well. The deluxe customs are a little better for that, mine was around £750 2nd hand but that's pretty much top spec and the dealer i bought it off paid under £600 for it Looks like the owner of the Performer in the listing has had a go at "restoration" on the ash body though. The price is still great though, i doubt you'd get a better bass for that much cash I was set on trading or selling mine but i was jamming some Stevie Wonder with the boys the other night and it's starting to persuade me otherwise! Were you thinking of having a punt on this one?
8. Haha, i also forgot i was selling it up until recently! Only remembered it when i was trying to free up some funds for a beater bass to live in the van (cos i'm too lazy to cart a spare to gigs)
9. There's another Zoot on eBay at the moment i think. Btw, stop flagging them up, i'm after a bargain!
10. I had my eye in the IGB with the big MM pickup and active circuit, the one i was looking at was around £400 in the shop and looked/felt excellent Nice solid, recessed bridge on the one i tried too EDIT: This one:
11. Back up for sale, if ya still want it Joe give me a shout!
12.
Jeez, what's wrong with people these days, all sort of crap getting sold and this beaut still sitting here? I'm not sure I need another fretted bass and no doubt you don't need a fretless Precision, but I tempted to offer a trade just to get two awesome basses off this page
100% agreed! This is one of the sweetest and most original looking basses i've come across. Don't suppose you fancy a trade for my Warmoth Jazz? (Walnut & Pau Ferro, Lined fretless, Duncans, Schaller, Gotoh etc.)
13. Maybe keep an eye out for a second hand custom job? <<<< This one cost me around £750 (new price now is about £1800) I'm letting it go though to get another Warwick, would fit your requirements apart from the pups! It has 25 frets too.......
14. Absolutely silly price on this one, wish i had the cash as i'd snap it up. Surely it'll go soon?!?!
15. Aye, i bit the bullet and consigned it to light bedroom/occaisional practice use. Shame, i've always thought these were a fantastic idea. Mine was one of the £199 ones and it arrived with a faulty channel, intermittent cutting out and dodgy speaker outputs. It's been back a few times and, while it has always been sorted, it seems to develop the same faults again If they could get that digital front end onto something reliable (preferably with a footswitch) i'd buy it in a second
16. Mine used to die occaisionally, sometimes the lights would stay on but no sound, sometimes everything went down. It was never for more than a few minutes though. Interestingly i found that unplugging the instrument cable and plugging it back in would bring it back to life although this may just be coincidence, might have just been a loose connection I got a bit tired of it constantly having to be sent back for repair and don't use it much now. Ironically it's been fine with light use for ages! I think it's just a case of poor manufacturing standards, was yours one of the £199 ones or the original batch?
17. Happened to me too. Bought a spares/repairs laptop which didn't contain a part i needed, even though it was visible in the pics and the seller had confirmed it was present. The problem is that eBay/Paypal like you to work things out with the seller first before making a claim. In my case the seller stalled (claimed he'd forgot to include it, was in the post etc.) so the 45 day limit was up Ended up costing me nearly a tenner for a bit of plastic! EDIT for random spelling
18. Haha, it's amazing what turns up when you're looking for bass porn! Best not let my missus see those Pucca memory sticks though...
19. Hmmmm... looks decidedly dodgy to me Gotta love them Zons though
20. Also look at the Aria Sinsonido basses: http://www.reidys.com/index.pl?submit=View...PriceComparison
21. The Warwick ones are pretty good. Decent straps that have a clip connection rather than the usual weak stitching. Good padding too
22.
well the better one would be the new one. they are identical basses, just one is new. hummm
One might just naturally sound better, have better construction, nicer sounding pickups. Although seeing as they are MIJ quality is likely to be pretty consistent there may be some variation.
