    In order to answer quickly and to add some points (cause I know dieseonze a little) This bass is one of the french luthier Laurent Kah Which is becoming well known in france for these famous basses... (purpleheart neck and/or fretboard is a kind of signature of this particular sound) I already tested this excellent bass, and the price is not so high compared to the very high quality of this stunning LK bass ! dieseonze was only a customer of Laurent, dieseonze didn't make this one for sure.     not a bad answer.... you have to choose the right pre for your piezzos... fishman are the best for that ! There in the piezzo market from time unknew from my grand-pa ' even in double bass, the fullcircle is the best IMO...

    For my side, I have piezzos (RMC) on ABM monorail bridge... And 2 magnetic pick-ups... controls are : Volume / balance between the Two / tone for magnetic pick-ups... Volume / Tone for piezzos. By this way, you can have a dark sound (tone @ 0 on magnetics) composed with the brilliant piezzos ( tone full @ piezzos) and it sounds great ! (specific electronic made by fishman by the way)

    Hum....yes, Always Half the price I paid for it new seems to be OK for me... (it means about 1000 £) Could be interested in a swap as well.

    I always ship bass in a case, which is in a big cardboard box with a lot of paper inside to avoid vibration and schocks on the case, and bubbles in the case... It's fine that way....

    another very good Ibby IMO... the low B is more precise on BTB due to 35" neck. but I'm Ok with you, you can play waht you want with those basses. SR and BTB are for sure great values in Ibanez brand, others type of basses are less versatile, for instance my ATKs are not good for jazz...
