1. Get that one that fires foam missiles, you can control it from another computer! Oh & it should be able to pick up the sound of your bass. Seriously though, any Logitech one should do, a few of my mates used to use them to just mess about recording themselves with, this was a few years ago as well so should expect the prices to be cheaper as well now for what you get. Always turned out ok quality wise.
2.
I played a white one of these a while back and despite being fretless it didn't sound fretless (?) and the fret lines were unusually thick. It didn't give that lovely 'mwwahh' sound I get from my fretless status. But I guess at £65 it would just be a muck about bass anyway.
Hmm. Turns out the bank balance doesn't quite permit right now anyway, got a lot of stuff coming up, maybe in 2 or 3 months!
3. Seems more like name 30 bass players you can think of to me. There seemed little logical basis for that list IMO.
4. You'd probably have better luck sticking the info & pics in to the thread mate.
5. Hmm yeah would expect to have to give it a set up, hopefully nothing too drastic though. I'll check my finances, 60 odd quid shouldn't be too much of a stretch right now.
6. Considering buying one for that price, not expecting to be blown away by it but wouldn't mind having a freltess to mess around on.
7. The E string looks a bit further away than the other string spacing, unless you took the photo at a slight angle?

Gone.

Why does the finish on a Spector always look so damn good! Lovely!!
9.
Not all are routed like that. I think there was a thread on Jazz bass routing, I'll see if I can find it... EDIT: Found it - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...outing&st=0 - I don't know if it really explains much though.
Hmm yeah point taken, would have thought that the USA ones wouldn't be like that though. Especially as the cheaper HW1s don't seem to have that routing as dave_bass has shown.
10. I did Rock School Grade 5 in 2004, enjoyed it. Hmm maybe I should do grade 8, something to do & a reason to get me playing more.
11. Wonder why he's selling it, would have thought from his little story that that bass would be his most treasured possession. Also really doubt he paid anything near that amount!
12.
This sounds terrible, but once I bought a secondhand guitar, had it delivered to work, dismantled it and took the bits home over a couple of days, and then announced that I was going to 'make something up out of spare parts that I have lying around". It worked.
You sir are an inspiration!! Don't see why people spend so much on weddings, seems to be a competition to out do someone elses all the time. Surely very far from the point of the whole thing?
13. Knob If you do go back perhaps after agreeing the pay ask for it just before you're about to go on? Any excuses about a delay then threaten to walk out with a pub packed full of people waiting to see you?
14.
John Entwhistle.
+1 How about John Paul Jones? Is this just regarding basschat or say out & about in the music scene as well?
15. I gotta admit I wouldn't mind one!
16. Probably best to list a few more details mate, also perhaps place an ad on some where like formingbands.co.uk Just state you are looking for learners for a jam etc.
17. Nice one mate I will mention it to my guitarist. You're close as well, he lives in Hove.
18.
+1 on learning tab to start with. It's certainly helped me learn some songs and there is nothing better than being able to play some tunes.
Yep don't see the harm at first, obviously you'll be kean to jump right in to learning a few of your favourite songs so don't worry too much for now about how you go about it. Just try to make sure if you do go for tabs that you are sourcing them from a reliable site. All the best with learning the bass guitar mate, may it bring the happiness that is so clearly has to many members here! *Just to add Andertons is a great place! Some very reaonsable prices as well.
19.
Aria STB GT4 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aria-STB-GT4-4-Strin...2|39:1|240:1318 GAS inducingly affordable!
Wow that is beautiful! Can't believe it's actually a low budget instrument. But then my mate has a lovely Aria Les Paul copy.
20.
its all shiny and not seen lightness! plus my bass looks mega badass.
Isn't there all the routing? Assuming it's a Fender!
21. So he'll probably be using this on stage with the Chilis then?
22. Hmm I think the guitarist in my band might be interested in this. Do you have any photos & what sort of price are you thinking of?
