1.
On auctions, I am sure I've seen plenty of FS threads stating "PM me offers" or such like.
Doesn't "PM me offers" normally mean: tell me what you've got & if I think it's reasonable I'll accept? As opposed to: I've been offered x amount, will anyone offer me more?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_West
Hadn't heard of Fred West before, now that was an erm interesting read! Anyway... lovely looking bass CK, you can't beat a black body & guard with a maple board for a start! Really loved the tones coming out of it in the sound clips as well. Will have to play the lottery tomorrow!
  2. How about they attempt to make one decent guitar instead of 6 pieces of fire wood?
  3. Same goes for the other thread. Easier to just give some more info here than just say you will if people email you.
  4.
Too busy playing it! Today's a lovely day here. I'll try to take some photos this avo.
Cool, been waiting!

    SOLD

Give it a go on Ebay mate, should go for a decent price, mine did.
  6.
I'm going to nip to the local music shop and see if they have any boxes. I could ship, I'm just always reluctant to incase anything happens!
Was looking through the gig photos thread the other day & spotted the black & white pic, thought then that looks like a gorgeous bass! Pitty it's a 35". A good wad of bubble wrap should do the trick to ease your mind! Sent & received a few basses & never had a problem yet!
  7.
I think they will know what the bass looks like but I doubt they will care who it was made by.
+1 Something like a Warwick really wouldn't fit the part. Surely the most basic P bass style instrument would do the trick, as long as it's playable. Doesn't need a 3 band EQ or some fancy materials.
  8. Nosing through all the ads in the practice studios my band uses always shows up a lot of bass player requests. Also when I was at college we were quite a minority on my course!
  9.
i've actually been GASing for a streamer $$ a little bit
There's a gorgeous limited edition one in GAK at the moment, zebrano, pearl inlay at the 12th fret. It's 5 string though.
  10. I was very happy, in the last few days though I've been finding it hard to get the sound I want from my jazz or stingray, although this might be down to the amps at the practice studio we are at at the moment.
  11.
Thumbs are pure marmite, but when the right buyer comes along they'll likely snap it up very quickly.
Couldn't agree more, exactly what happened when I sold mine. Good luck mate that's a decent price! Just a case of waiting for the aforementioned right buyer.
  12.
And where does Fender's Road Worn Series fit into all this.
It doesn't, they're honest that the instruments are fake rip offs in the first place.
  13. Don't see the point in spending that much on a Vintage bass. Go 2nd hand as suggested, perhaps an Ibanez? A lot of bang for your buck. Or one of those new Squiers.
  14.
apparently so
Yep he's certainly been a busy boy!!
  15. Why the need for a 2nd thread?
  16. Heya mate might be best to drop it a bit more based on retail! Good luck with it.
  17.
That's as optomistic as this guy Jim Deacon P bass, new £120, starting bid £200
"I have here a Jim Deacon Bass Guitar, it is in mint condition, and is only a few months old, my reason for sale is i just got a new one for my birthday" So he's bought a new one to replace the mint condition one that is only a few months old? Unless he's just worded it badly & means he's bought another bass.

That's a wicked looking instrument! Some more info etc would probably help the sale mate, especially for a bass at this price.
  19. Well duhhh the bass is worth the model number, that's what it's there for. Got some Fender 8250 strings if anyone wants them? £8250
  20.
Deliveries can show 'attempted delivery' even though it has not left the holding companies depot. It basically means that they are processing your fees and a letter will be winging its way to you soon, telling you what you owe!
+1 Bloody annoying if you ask me! I was following a bass on the tracker & waited a couple of days after reading that thinking that they had come & tried to deliver & would just try again the next day. When I phoned them up they told me they had sent a letter & were waiting for me to get back to them, the guy told me the charge amount & I paid over the phone. The bass came the next day so they are fast but only with pushes from you. I can't recall actually ever getting the letter either. Big Cat are you sure it's gone back? As mentioned above if you are going by the tracker or something then best to phone them?
  21. Trying to get some cash together so will offer these up here first... For sale are Numark DJ decks. Numark Battle Pack to be precise. Got these a couple of years ago, they've only been used a few times as I discovered fairly soon after that DJ'ing was not for me. 2 decks, all cables, headphones, needles. Will put some photos up later. Price just £70 for a barely used set up. Just thought there might be a few people here in to this sort of thing or somebody who might be considering having a go at it. If your interested just give me a shout. Photos to follow... Cheers J
