Up for sale is a 2008 Fender American Deluxe Precision. The reason was originally going to be GAS related, but a few problems have come up the last couple of days & it now looks like I may have to shift a fair bit of gear to raise some funds... Anyway so up first is this beauty of a Deluxe Precision that I acquired recently from fellow basschatter reesource through a trade. It's a 2008 model in sunburst owned from new by the aforementioned BC'er. The model is the version with the split coil P pick up & double J humbucker at the bridge. It's strung through, 22 fret with scalloped heal & hipshot tuners. She plays beautifully & you can achieve a great range of tones thanks to the 18v preamp & it packs a lot of thump. The neck also feels very fast, which I'd never really attributed to a P bass before! Good condition except for a couple of dings on the body & some light surface damage on the back. These are only really noticeable on closer inspection though. Hopefully reesource doesn't mind me using his pics. The neck also has a couple of small dents (just about visible in the photo). Supplied along with the Fender moulded case, truss rod adjuster & leather strap & straplocks. SOLD Cheers Joe

I spent a couple of years thinking about buying a Sadowsky & finally picked up a Metro on the forum back in April. It's the best jazz bass I've played. I don't think the name on the headstock really comes in to it too much. In my neck of the woods only one other bassist that I've come across since acquiring it has heard of Sadowsky to begin with.
took a wander down the road earlier in the week, passed a UPS van, an the driver walking up to a door armed with a card. He ignored the huge ornate door knocker, and stroked the door with his knuckles......
The first thing that always comes to my head when I hear UPS is an incident at a local music shop I was doing work experience at when I was 15. The owner had gone out to get some thing from up the road, this UPS van pulled up in front of the shop, what looked really close to the owner's Merc which was parked right outside. The delivery guy got out, pushed the shop door open full pelt & came in. Whilst he was getting a signature from a staff member I saw the owner come in to view of the shop front & inspect his car. He then came in & calmly told the UPS guy that he'd scratched it. The UPS guy flipped out & within a couple of seconds the situation had escalated. Anyway to cut it short the delivery guy left F'ing & blinding, threatening the shop owner etc etc. & just to confirm he had scratched the Merc, badly on the offside front wing. I've never considered using UPS!
MB1. Postman knocks on door this morning,i hear it get up,get to the door as hes driving off.The guy must have waited all of 30 seconds for me to answer the door? well the time it takes to fill the card in anyway!.Apparently i now have to wait two working days to go and collect it myself from the sorting office. I then look at the card and its not for me!
This happened yesterday! The knock was also incredibly faint.
Can anyone suggest a reliable tech in the Chichester area? I'd like to have the neck on my Warwick looked at to see if its a goner or not. Thanks guys!
Bump, I'd be interested in a tech that could fit a retrofit VTC to my Sadowsky.
Only thing I have against them is that the maple fingerboards on the Metros have a very plain look to them.
This is my only complaint, when next to my maple Fender MIA jazz the fretboard does look a bit cheapy compared. Soon overlooked once you look at everything else about it though.
Sadowsky's are brilliant basses. I dont think the fact that there are a few in the for sale forum is indicative of anything.
+1 on both points. Because a few have come along at once recently doesn't mean they've fallen out of favour. I couldn't be more happy with my Metro.
