1.
Seeing as the ad is headed "1996 Vintage Fender Squier Precision P - Bass MIK" And the wording says "This is a very cool vintage P - bass. It dates from 1996 SN/ 713961 crafted in Korea." Safe to say the seller isn`t trying to pass it off as something it isn`t.
Yeah good on him for amending it.
2.
Hi all... Does anyone know if anywhere in the UK stock the Sadowsky VTC mod? Any thoughts and what not would be most welcome... Thanks Jamie
I considered this & spent a fair bit of time looking in to it. I couldn't find anywhere in the UK that stocked it though. I also found a few threads knocking about on talkbass etc where guys with VTC fitted Sadowskys said that the difference was minimal.
3. It's an older Warwick, why is it therefore not going?!
4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1971-Vintage-Fen...7#ht_500wt_1156 A Korean made Squier, from 1971... I thought Squier wasn't around until the 80's & originally just made in Japan. So cobblers right?!
5. Pickguard taken from a 2004 Fender Mexican jazz bass. White/black/white. £5 posted. Cheers Joe
6. Cheers Si, sure is a great piece of kit.
7. The latest in my gear clear out to raise cash & it doesn't get much use anymore. Boss ME50B multi effects pedal. A great multi effects unit with lots of preset tones, 3 foot switches, a wah pedal, a built in tuner & loads more. Comes in a perfect fitting cardboard box that I've always used to carry it around in! Here's a link to the manual plus the full specs... These are on average £220 new so pick up a bargain! Pics to follow. Cheers Joe
8. Sold a pickguard to Simon. Fast payment & no messing about. Cheers Joe
9. Fair enough. To go slightly OT how about the cover you see on 70's basses at the neck pickup? Any difference there?
10. Not a fan of ash trays on P's due to no chrome plate. Therefore personally don't think it would suit your J. On a side note would adding an ash tray without foam change the sound at all? Only ever played one bass that was fitted with an ash tray. Edit: incomplete sentence!
11.
Genuinely beautiful bass here, Joe. Reckon you'll find some change from the sale for a certain blue Warwick?
Cheers Dan. If by "certain blue Warwick" you mean "various different crappy financial situations that come along at once" then yes, exactly that lol. ....
12. Swapped my unused strap locks for a pack of nice EB strings. A top bloke & all postage etc done & dusted within 24 hours. Cheers
13. Bump. Interest through good old gumtree, but would rather sell here for various reasons!
14. Now open to very near offers as this needs to go.
15. Looking forward to pics of this. Musicmans always seem to use such nice bits of birdseye maple.
16.
+1 for "pre-loved", and the Nordy VJ5 and Lakland 55-02 that are in the For Sale section.
Don't forget to mention there's also quite a nice trans blue Sadowsky Metro in there.
