1. Wow what are the chances of 2 1991 NT Thumb 5 basses coming along at the same time!
2. Massive fan of Sadowsky, those preamps are the dog's nuts. Bitsa including the parts you want to make it sound like a Sadowsky might come in over budget though? The Overwater Contemporary Jazz gets a lot of praise here, pretty much bang on your budget as well.
3. Bump, was almost sold but now available again for the moment.
4. What kind of trades do you have in mind mate?
5. Basshole is a pleasure to deal with. Buy with confidence!
6.
Edit the original post, then when you are in the editor choose the 'full edit' option at the bottom of the post.
Thanks mate. Was me just being an idiot clearly.
7. Bump. Now up for sale, or trade for a jazz. Better pics to follow... PS. Can anyone tell me how to change the title? Haven't been able to work it out since the site overhaul.
8. Steve bought a set of strings off me. A smooth, easy transaction. A great guy!
9. Combination of the fact Warwicks still seem to be a bit unpopular plus economic times. Most expensive/top end basses seem to take months to sell on here, unless its a GB or a Wal. Hold out Markus, a buyer will be along soon enough.
10. Hi guys, Gauge: 40, 60, 70, 95 Recently put these on a newly acquired jazz bass, it was strung with D'addarios when I got it and was set up really well. The slinkys however are a much lighter gauge and this is causing a bit of buzzing and tbh the bass is so well set up I don't want to mess around with it so opted to put a new set of D'addarios on instead. Therefore I am looking to sell these. They have been cut down sensibly to fit the jazz bass headstock and have been used in total about 3 hours, I do not play with a pick. These are great sounding and feeling strings. Looking for just £5 posted. These are £24.95 new on ernieball.co.uk Cheers Joe
11. Maple and OW for me. Agree with Musicman20 about the neck being very pale though. It was the only thing I wasn't perfectly happy with about my Metro. God I miss that bass.
12.
Once a musician gets his head turned by a girl, you may as well discount them from any band that they are in. Time to move on.
They tend to come crawling back once the relationship is all over though. Suppose everyone has a friend like that anyway.
13.
Well he said no, but she said on friday "did you hear that we got a flat?" so id guess yes. Sadly.
He's probably being whipped on all aspects now then. Agree with Neilb, it's a battle you won't win!
14. Sounds really crappy. Isn't the girlfriend he's moved in with by any chance?!
15. I recently shipped a bass to a BC'er in France using DPD through http://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/ Prices are much better through them, you just need to open an account (doesn't cost anything.) As for DPD they were great, bass was insured for £1000 (no exclusions for instruments), they picked it up when they said they would and it was easily tracked online, only took 2 working days and most importantly it arrived still in one piece!
