The 2 flamenco guitars, 4 mandolins, 3 violins, 2 lutes & 1 banjo, I guess will have to form part of my funeral pyre in the Viking long-ship I will have constructed for the purpose The wife will be chuffed to have some room at last though.
The wife not going with you then??
  2. Hey mate look forward to that. I'm waiting on my Streamer $$ to arrive at the moment. It's red finish with silver hardware but if it looks the same in real life as it does in the photos then I'll probably be looking at putting black hardware on. Can I ask how much it cost you??
  3.
"My Generation" - Hilary Duff.
I bet thats shocking. While on covers of The Who how about Limp Bizkit's version of Behind Blue Eyes, complete with crap music video!
  4. I'd raise an issue just on the guy's attitude alone, no one would want to be dealing with obviously nasty users like that, especially when entrusting them with a sum of money close to the £500 mark. Also weird how his items are so spaced a part, eg. most of his feedback is back from 2006.
  5.
Thats no way to talk to a lady!!!
That was just my general overview for the whole thread lol.
  6. If I go with the Lakland it would be a case of importing from America, should work out (including all taxes, i hope!) at £1000. The Warwick would be about £970 from Germany. I think deal wise the Warwick would be the better, but obvs that isn't the most important factor!
  7.
I'd go for a classic 3ply black/white/black for a 70s look.
+1
  8. If you're quite happy with your Squier P bass and aren't looking to spend a lot of cash then I'd expect you to really enjoy a Mexican jazz bass tbh. For a start I was quite impressed with the neck on mine, I got it back in around 2003 and was really pleased with it, although I'm looking to now spend around £1000 on a bass I'd still be hesitant to sell this. You should deff check them out mate, especially as the prices have seemed to have bombed (I've just come back from about a 2 year gap in playing and could swear these were around the £500 mark then?!)
  9. Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new bass and have narrowed it down to either a Lakland 55-02 or a Warwick Streamer $$ 5. Not exactly like and like basses I know!! I want a nice bass that can handle a broad range of tones, I feel that overall both of these basses can do that however. I liked the MM style pickup on the Lakland and also the tightness of the B string due to the 35" scale, the jazz pickup was also impressive. However I currently own a Warwick Rockbass Streamer 5 that I've always been quite impressed with so didn't want to rule out the idea of a Warwick as always used to think to myself that as soon as I had the funds I'd be looking at the real deal. So I was just wondering what your opinions are. As I've said I loved the Lakland for the range of tone (especially the MM type sound) however the feel of the Warwick and that signature growl I can't personally ignore although I do appreciate the range of tone wouldn't quite match the Lakland. Cheers guys

    Hey

Hey guys, Just thought I'd say hi!! I've recently got back in to playing after about a 2 year gap, used to be over at musiciansforum but account seems to have gone now!! Played for around 3 years, did bass grade 5 and national award in music, however after that I changed college and there didn't really seem to be many people around to have a jam with and I just lost the passion for it : But then recently it's started coming back - wahay! Now that I work full time I'm currently looking to sell of some of my gear and get a nice bass like I've always wanted. Thinking either a Lakland 55-02 or a Warwick. So there you have it!!
