4. Here is some reviews: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...Zodiac+BXP/10/1 I was gonna buy that one as my first bass but went for Ibanez instead. Supposed to be a great first bass for money.
5. Just reading "...the nut is carved from 10,000-year-old mammoth ivory." Just puts me into a rage! Looks great but 250K. Looser I'd say.
6.
Hmm, might come along to this one week Reece, so you can see a not very talented guy do his thing Not this week mind, bit busy. Will call re. "lessons" too, promise!!
Be good to see you mate. Bring ya bass do your thing...
7.
Epsom's not far from me so I'll probably try to get to one soon if I can get some mates/bandmates interested. 3 Questions - Is there any parking nearby? Is it mostly bands that turn up or individuals called up to form impromtu bands? Is it OK to bring a bass if I'm not very good?
3 answers: 1) Yes there is a road opposite the pub where we always park. Or next to the pub on kurb. 2) Mixture, a lot of lead and rythum guitarists turn up. The occasional band turns up like last week. Limited normally to about 3 songs. Its great because the chop and change the musicians around so really cool. 3) No. Not my party so more of a case if you can play and know a wide range of songs then play. They tend to play classic rock stuff, funk & a little blues. Let me know if you go. Reece
8. Hi All, Not sure how many of you are aware of the Open mic nights on Wednesdays from 8.30pm onwards @ the Vibe in Epsom, Surrey. Great evening to break up the week. Some, from what I can tell some talented people go up there and do their thing. I go every wednesday so would be good to meet some people from here there if you'd be up for that. Bring your bass if your any good, sure they would love it. Some excellent guitarists have been up in the last 2 weeks, getting ever more popular from what I can see. Reece
9.
Hi Reece! Took some on my phone but they were shocking quality.
10.
The username isn't a big issue, the mods are so nice on here they'll actually change your username, should you so desire . As for tab, definetly start out on it but to become good you will have to start learning songs by ear, just listen out to the basslines in the songs and it becomes easier and easier. I rarely ever use tabs, there are some people i know however who completely rely on tabs to learn anything. This is a really bad trap to get into so please, don't. As for the amp, which plug is bent- the cable or the input jack on the amp? Either way you should take it back to the shop. There's no way something like that should happen to a piece of new equipment.
Yeah definitely learn tabs. To be honest want to try and learn as much as possible really. More strings the to Bow and all that so Tabs will learn as well as ear. Its the bottom right Pin on the actual plug that goes into wall. Yeah will take back to shop, pain in ass though. Already listen to tracks and specifically listen to bass which is cool.
11. Sounds pretty sweet! Nice. I certainly would come and see you gig, if you played close enough. Reece
12. Cheers all for friendly words. Sat on Bass for about 2 hours already feels cool! Went to plug amp in and found the plug pin is bent! AAGGHH so cant amp her up but have been practicing anyways. YouTube is pretty great for learning so far. As for the username yeah I may regret but oh well everydays a lesson!? Reece.
