4. found this blurb on line (did he ever even touch the bass?):
"A bass made to Police specifications. It's a faithful limited edition reproduction of Sting's trusty 1953 Precision Bass with his signature in a block inlay at the 12th fret. Contoured lightweight ash body with single-ply pickguard. Maple neck and fretboard with a 7.25" radius, a vintage 2-saddle bridge, and a vintage single-coil pickup. Enjoy this re-creation of the P Bass from the early days and pay homage to a great player at the same time. Includes Fender gig bag."
and this gem, in an interview:
SB: What kind of strings do you use? Sting: The ones that are given to me for free. When you’re rich and famous people want to give you things. It’s a wonderful irony that amuses me. And now I’ve run out of wisdom of charisma. But if you want to know more about my equipment I can make sure you get to speak to my Danny, who handles that.
5.
Wel,l that's 150,000 plus views in less than a year. Pretty appalling really that people have nothing better to do than read this carp.....
It's just a red herring.
 6. Velcro life is specified as 'high' for Nylon and 'medium' for Polyester, whatever that means! It could be a cheaper counterfeit brand. http://bit.ly/1MqfORL
 7.
4003 people must have complained about it
Other numbers of complainants are available.

In his autobiography years later, he conceded that changing his name was a necessity to get ahead in the industry.
giving up the bicycle also helped a lot. 9.
weren't Trio that Breakway group that Hobnob'd with a Viscount?
being a boy band, they won't be performing the kitkat shuffle
 10. The nut came off the output jack on my HB Prog 4 on Saturday. I screwed it back on, it fell off again the next day. The nut is very thin and very few exposed threads on the socket for it to grip. I removed the back cover and the jack plate. There is just enough slack in the wiring to pull the socket out. There is a second nut behind the plate - I screwed this back a few turns and re-assembled holding the socket to tighten the nut. Added a few drops of nail varnish to the thread. A point to watch out for. My fourth jack socket problem in 12 months...
 11. Probably need to make your own, if possible. There is a cheap looking F268Q connector available here: http://cpc.farnell.c...70545?ost=F268Q or here: http://www.audiospar...ome.php?cat=139 When Midi was invented, midi connected pedal boards were probably not anticipated. Perhaps BC'er obbm can help?
 12.
I think the technology would need to take a step up for that to work in my case ...
They already do holograms. Don't be lazy, you'll have to wiggle the card yourself.
 13.
I read this earlier today and I'm still smiling about it. A gold star for you...
Another star for Richard, I don't know how he does it!

 16.
The coffee that Jack Bruce is nice with Cream and a biscuit from the Ginger Baker. It deserved a round of applause, but only a short one, so it was somewhat embarrassing when Eric Clapton.
Pete knows just how to roast coffee beans, 400 degrees and they turn Brown.
 17.
Incidentally what happens when a new candidate for inclusion rocks up at St Peters Gate?
They are greeted by Benny The Bouncer, an old prog rocker.
 18.
Pedantic PS: I don't think Billy Preston is 'with us' anymore....?
With over 135,000 views, this topic reaches places other topics can only dream about.
 19. Will it go round in circles was written by Billy Preston after reading yet another BC thread on the effect of necks, pots, leads, capacitors and other stuff, on tone quality.
 20. Why has it got matching knobs? Actually I bought a Roberts DAB about 5 years ago. It was sh*te, poor reception, noisy cheap analog volume pot (most have digital pots). It went back.
 21.
Yes it's not exactly a shining accolade is it....
There are many bloody good part time bands, much better than the beeb's usual output. I'll only watch if John Peel hosts it.
