Not sure what you are trying to do here. Switch on left will swap phase of north. Switch on right will give North / North+South in parallel / South. No point in swaping phase of a singe coil (unless there is another pickup somewhere). No point in swapping phase when N+S in parallel - out of phase will cancel out signal and pick up hum (humbucker in reverse?) I guess thats all OK if that is what you want.
Plan my day? I'm watching him (online) go from delivery to delivery (he's on No 10 now) and tantalising has passed very close to me already...!
You are as sad as I am. My dpd delivery was 80 something. DPD seem to have a very good system. But they did not say whether he takes sugar in tea or not.

I can confirm the screw in my Fender knob is 32 TPI - I borrowed a thread gauge at work. It may be the same or very similar to 5/32" BSW. The pitch is identical and the diameter very close. The reason I say this is 5/32" BSW is the thread used in Meccano sets, so if ever you have one or if hobby shops sell spares - worth a try! But the recessed hex types would be more reliable and less likley to come loose.
Not all blend pots give you 100% from both at the centre position, this could be your problem.
50% of each at centre position? Is it Log or linear?

8.32 UNC x 3/16 might be worth looking at. http://www.gwr-fasteners.co.uk/8-32-unc-socket-grub-screw---a2-stainless-37001-p.asp

8.32 UNC is my guess, but these may be a bit long at 1/4 inch http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/8-32-0-164-diameter_B23SRV.aspx
That's an idea, but I don't know if the threads are metric or imperial. I thought there might be someone who knew these intricacies.
A bit of a guess..... Just removed some knobs from my MIM P. The screws have a 'US imperial' look about them - coarser than metric. Diameter is around 4mm and length a little over 4mm, with about 5 full turns of thread. So my guess is UNC 32 TPI. Metric screws have a finer thread (and are found on Squier) the thread size looks identical to the bridge intonation screws used on Fender. Squier are metric. If you buy knobs in the UK they will very likely be metric M4 set screws and may be slotted also.
Thanks all. Looks like hb7s the way to go.
See post #8, #13....

Have just put HB7s on my MIM Fender - a big improvement. The original tuners have a plastic shim under the cog which breaks up and drops out, that's when rattling started. HB7s are a much better design. The bushes supplied would not fit (too small for the bored headstock holes) so I left the originals in. The 27:1 ratio is better, originals were 22:1 . If you want to adjust the small screw that adjusts the stiffness, it looks like a 1/16th Allen key is required.

But I didn't buy the bass, Dave Grolsch gave it to me!
Actually this was 1976. It had grown out a fair bit but the curvature of the fringe is still clearly visible:
The 'Tupperware' jug also dates the photo. We still have one, use it to top up the garden bird bath. Never saw Slade live, to my regret, but the first time I was aware of them they played Shape Of Things To Come live on ATV (Midlands news program). They were skinheads then. Must have been '69/'70
Leslie West's brother John used to run a fish cannery business, but he closed it down after becoming appalled at the number of cans of fish they had to reject. Just had a delivery by dpd, never heard of them before. I got 5 hours notice of a 1 hour delivery slot, it arrived 30 minutes into the slot. Tracking gave a link to google map which showed where the van was, what parcel number he was delivering (75) and what my parcel number was (87). Looking at the route the van took across town, it was well organised for shortest routes, updated at every drop. I guess this would be too much to ask of every delivery company. But ParcelForce have alway delivered my Thomann stuff within 36 hours from reaching UK (no strikes in Europe at that time). But really, I should get a life or take bass lessons rather than follow tracking on PC
