2. Yeah I'm a mate of Alien's - Pete is one of my facebook friends but i don't really know him personally. Last I heard he was still enjoying lots of liquid refreshment!

4.
Im just putting one together as I have joined a Floyd tribute. Never really rated Waters until I was learning the sets. Not technically challenging but difficult arrangements with tasty variations and like you say great song writer.
And superb 'feel'!
5. I love the 'originals' on my 70's precision for my Pink Floyd band - lots of depth and nice 'clank' if you eq nicely. Because they're so tight you can get a decent action which makes up for the tension. Got them on a couple of basses - and 105's on my fretless - just lovely!!
6. The Campbell Centre - secure mental health unit in Milton Keynes. If I was going to be mentally ill and need to be secure I can't think of a nicer place to get better!
7. I had one. I loved it - it had a fault in the electronics that affected (i believe) a number of early ones so the battery would still drain when it was unplugged. Converted it to passive. Really light and fast - lovely!
8. Yes Flex - I may well be - let me assess my collection and see what I may be willing to part with - Whereabouts in Northants? I'll have a bit of a think about this and get back to you!
9. Let's not get hung up on the semantics of 'prototype'! It's about herbie's bass and him letting the OP play it. Herbie says it's a 'prototype' - that's enough for me!
10.
Short time price reduction before ebay 1200
Price seems good to me - free bump!
11. I think it's an ergonomic thing. I've got a BO 4 thumb which looks, sounds and plays fab but is soooooo different in 'position' to my fenders due to the short top horn. I think if you only play one bass all the time - these are great, but if you have a bit of a stable going, it puts you out of your comfort zone gigging with a thumb. That's my ha'penneth.
12. I've got a closet classic version of this in Burgundy Mist ala Guy Pratt - and it's just awesome! Free bump!

14. Hi Mate! You bought this from Dave from Newport Pagnell. I set it up for him - do you have a 'but it now'? Regards Col
15. Sounds like an internal problem that would need a tech to repair. Maybe the seller didn't rip you off - maybe he/she didn't know it was faulty - I try to think the best of people! If it's any consolation, the synth sounds are sh*te anyway!! Col
16. Unless you have a good budget - and really really know your stuff - I'd suggest pre made.
