    This model is not shown in the 2003 Fender catalogue but is in 2004. I don't have a great knowledge of Mexican Fenders but was surprised to see Fender logos on the machine heads - thought that was more USA style. Hope you manage to get a full refund.

    The plot thickens...........or of course I accept I am being stupid. It has a KV serial number on the back of the neck..........and an S serial number on the headstock............ Can anybody explain?

    Although........that serial number on the headstock does not appear in the Fender link in post #2! Is that a serial number on the back of the neck?

    I have an EBS Session 30 Combo which fits the bill perfectly. Great quality, small, portable and that EBS warm tone. Has a headphone socket too.

    I have a 1972 and 1973 Fender Catalogue and both show Blond (colour code 501) and Olympic White (colour code 505) as available.

    I am no expert but that does NOT look like a MM USA bass!!! I thought they had string through body, were active with bound necks?
