  1. @drTStingray - yes you have a fantastic example. I must admit in those photos the standard roasted maple does look good. The ebony board sets it off well.
  2. Ah, thankfully they haven't lost it completely. This is much more reasonable... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sandberg_VM4_Gold.html
  3. Despite the Brexit/£ issue, £3000?!
  4. https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/180108320557002-1903874--sandberg-california-vm4-masterpiece-aged-3-tone-sunburs 3 grand.
  5. Guitar related - Boss Katana 100W combo.
  6. The oil and wax finish on the neck is, as we know, wonderful. I can't help but feel that figured maple would have justified the higher pricing. For example, the Musicman guitars in the same price bracket (approx) all have figured maple: https://www.music-man.com/instruments/guitars
  7. Are these necks roasted but not figured?
  8. If you aren't happy, send it back. Which store mixed up the cases? Such a basic part of the service as well.
  9. Strat Basss? Like a Musicman Big Al....
  10. Man that's some movement! Big shame.... I would DEFINITELY email photos etc to Fender UK and copy in your dealer, be up front and say it's over 2 years, but ask them if they would be willing to help. You may then have a spare new neck for it.... I think there is a guy called Matt Davey at Fender UK/Europe...
  11. Check GAK...noticed Peach is getting a few.
  12. PS - the exclusive stock at Andertons was literally for 1-2 days whilst GAK got their stock. Dr T - looks awesome. I'm most interested in the 5 string Ray if I'm honest....in a crazy colour.
  13. GAK also have these in including a 5 under 9lbs!
  14. The Musicman sound CAN be scooped, as can all basses I guess, if you knock out the mids (although you can do this on the bass unlike a passive Jazz). A Jazz is definitely more scooped to me. Lot's of high end, lots of rumble. I think, without referring to any graphs, that the thing I like with the Stingray is the low mid kick (quite low on the low mids I think....could be wrong) then there is a rasp aggression in the high mids close to the treble, should you want it. Also, the mid control on the 3 band and 3 band + basses obviously allow for loadssss of mid. These new basses look fantastic but I'm already well equipped with basses so I doubt I'll be getting one in the foreseeable future.
  15. Lovely but sooo much money now!!! £800-1000 rise in 2-3 years....
  16. This. How was it packed? An instrument like that should be double boxed in a hardcase....no doubt.
  17. So, just to clarify, it is an analog compressor, controlled digitally?
  18. That is relatively cheap for them!
  19. The D-800+ was £899 at Andertons for a few hours, then I think they realised it was the wrong price!
  20. I'm not sure that is what has happened here! Also, I imagine if he owns this bass he will know how to fret a note....
  21. £900 is really cheap for an all tube bass head like that.....
  22. Sad news RIP.
  23. I still think the Genz Benz 2x12 is the best vertical neo 2x12 when you consider the price and weight.
  24. Stingray HH.
  25. £650? Yeah I'd want it to be almost perfect....if it is bothering you, get it changed.
