gone

I turned up to a gig once where backline was provided to find a line 6 150W combo waiting for me...... !! I pulled our Mackie SRM450's out of the van and used them as backline driven by an Ampeg Valve DI box Sounded very acceptable on the night although they cut out during the 2nd set (Thermal fuse thing) for a couple of mins ( I turned the drummers fan onto the heat sinks..... job done) ATB Mark

  9. Guys..... I tried this set-up a couple of days ago (as well as the 2x12 iso neo) I was astonished at how good it was and the volume capability for a small box..... I've heard it said by the speaker Guru's (Bill & Alex) that the Isobaric design concept is flawed..... I remember the Linn Sara & Isobarik Hifi speakers of the 80's packing one hell of a punch (I would have heard Miller, Jaco, Clarke et al for the first time on a Naim Audio driven Linn Isobarik ststem) Sure the design makes them inefficient.... (The Linn speakers were a tough load which is one of the reasons they were so often partnered with the mega stable Naim power amps) but with a good 500w into a 2x10 (I believe the Terror bass has switchable impedence) it kicks out some volume !! I think Orange have got it right..... Updating the Isobaric design with neo technology and mating it with a clean and powerful class D output stage with valve drive pre !! The future does indeed look bright !!
  10. Guys.... An IP112 stack is top of my amp shopping list just now I've got to hear one along side a TC450 RS210/RS212

  14. What a shame it's a 71 If it had been a 1970 (year I was born) it woild have made a fantastic 40th Birthday pressie ........ and that is the best reason I can come up with not to buy it !!!!! GAS GAS GAS !!!! Having said that...... it's possible most of the wood work was done in 1970

  16. Didn't know Aguilar did pickups !
  17. Chuck some EMG's in the Vibe.... The pickups are weak and can feedback in a band situation, you'll upgrade the wiring in the process and the EMG's have a particular voice that seems to come through no matter what bass you put them in (IMHO) My EMG loaded classic vibe sounded brilliant in a band, easily a match for a run of the mill USA Jazz ATB Mark

  19.
Right. I thought so. I've seen auctions for this seller before, although never this quantity in one go. His prices have always been pretty high in the past as well. I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but it seems to be quite common for some of the European sellers, especially Spain and Italy.
currency rate doesn't help
