  1. I'll post it if you ask nicely.
  2. I'm sorry Nick, there are some things that just can't be excused or forgiven.
  3. This one has featured before. I remember it because I contacted the seller to compliment him on his lino. Seriously.
  4. I've listened to Spotify a few times. It wasn't life-changing. It's a bit like having a cable TV package with all the bells & whistles. It makes available far, FAR more stinky poo than you ever realised was out there.
  5. Apparently that kit comes with a permanent team of sound engineers who handle the close-miking ...
  6. I'm pretty sure the M25 doesn't go to the East Midleands ...
  7. That perspex backplate is truly a thing of beauty.
  8. Here are the technical details for its slightly younger brother. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/standard-104hf/
  9. This is the 4-Ohm version, good for 800W (though I never got around to putting that much through it) and it was Made In Italy. It does the whole Markbass yellow thing really nicely. The rat-fur is pretty clean and doesn't smell. It has sockets and handles. And it comes with this really cute padded cover. Available for collection from Harrow HA1, or I can deliver within 50 miles (and within reason) for petrol money.
  10. In fairness, he's selling it for €160 so there's probably not much budget for a translator. Have you got one, Jack?
  11. Come on Tom, you have to be better than that. It was a 3-hour gig where we played nearly 50 songs. Do you really imagine that he needed to choose the one song where I screwed up? Or that he shouldn't have checked with me first?
  12. I've not played one of those through a 5-bar gate ... how does it sound?
  13. What happened at the gig later was nearly as exciting ...
  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-45672921
  15. No need to translate it, Mick. The photo lower down shows the same bass but with a noticeably different headstock.
  16. Could be a replacement neck, or possibly a badly-remodelled headstock. Take a look at http://www.defil-vintage.pl/2013/12/nowe-rytmy-w-fabryce-defil.html Can't leave Defil alone without pointing you at their ... ahem ... 'take' on the gorgeous Hagstrom Futurama: https://reverb.com/item/40133-defil-lotos-1973-vintage-natural-relict I get the whole Communist era thing, but nobody ever claimed that the Communists weren't very fine engineers. This monstrosity looks like a failed school word & metalwork project.
  17. Cautiously optimistic ...
  18. Without some idea of who actually wrote this, frankly it's pretty meaningless.
  19. I think we should be told.
  20. In truth, I always thought that a "Sonic Maximiser" was what we used to call a Volume knob.
  21. Was any sticky-backed plastic involved, at all?
