Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2 - selling the complete package

The whole 'kitchen scales' thing is just so declasse these days, don't you think? Here we have the intersection of luggage scales with a meat-hook ... so much more satisfying. And no, your eyes do not deceive you. The scales register exactly 9.5lbs = pretty much the weight of every decent (single-necked) P-bass in existence.

Well what else can I use my aircraft hanger for? Eh? Well? -
100W, 2x5" Piranha speakers. These dedicated drivers were specifically designed for the briefcase, driven by a high current 100-watt (RMS) amplifier housed in rigid metal chassis. Can be used with rechargeable 12v 7amp battery - essentially a motorcycle battery; these usually cost around £20 new - so it's also ideal for use when busking or on camping trips & similar. If you don't fancy the battery option, there's a cable that comes with it to allow you to run the combo from your car's cigarette lighter socket. Weight: 28lb (excl. motorcycle battery!) Dimensions: 6.5" x 14.5" x 15.75" Inputs: Active/Passive Others: Compressor/limiter, 5-Band EQ, Headphone out, Balanced-line out, Pre-amp XLR out, Extension-speaker out Words like "pristine" and "immaculate" spring to mind. In perfect working order, and I think I even have the original slip case in storage somewhere. Shipping is at least possible, but the weight would make that both undesirable and expensive. Still, "never say never" ...

Flipping basses for profit – fair game or not cool?

Yeh, but driving 300km to save 10 Euros, well I dunno ... 😉

During the last 10 years of my career I was lucky enough to benefit from corporate hospitality, and I saw a whole load of big name bands from the 70s (Stones, Who, Fleetwood Mac, etc) as freebies. Pretty much without exception they were disappointing, not a patch on who they once were, and frankly nowhere near as good as most of their own tribute acts. The Actual Rolling Stones at the O2, for example, were absolutely blown away by The Counterfeit Stones, who I'd seen three weeks earlier (and paid for with my own money) at Kew Gardens. I genuinely can't remember the last time I bought gig tickets for a 'name' band and I can't say as I've missed it. I'd much rather be gigging with my own band down the Dog & Duck than watching a bunch of octogenarians through binoculars.

eBay doesn't want your business, or mine. Private sellers like us who sell perhaps a handful of items each year are a mere legacy from the original eBay, and they'd love to be rid of us and focus on challenging Amazon. eBay is now essentially the 2nd biggest shopping mall on the planet, with the vast majority of the business being done by shops and concessions, not by people buying and selling with each other in the concourse.

Just saying ...

No Who? Check out Substitute and Won't Get Fooled Again ... two of my favourite basslines. You should probably also take a look at A Town Called Malice. If your band has three people who can sing (= harmony BVs) then other satisfying basslines to play include My Best Friend's Girl and Listen To The Music.

Oh FFS, Tony. I need to know that like I need a hole in the head. Memo to Self: Stay away from @Hellzero adverts. Incidentally, there is no actual law that says you can't play piano and bass. Just saying ...

This is really not a great audio recording and does that PA rig no favours - we sounded way better than this in the room.
