3. as part of my clear out this lovely guitar has to go. I imported it from the States a couple of years back and its in near mint condition. unfortunately I have mislaid the trem arm during my house move a couple of months ago so have taken a whack off what i would have been looking for originally Its a USA model made at the factory in Fullerton,California. it comes with the warranty card, owners manual, hang tag and the certificate of authentitity signed by Mrs Phyllis Fender. Will ship with a deluxe G&L gig bag The colour is Fullerton Red with matching headstock. The neck has a fairly big profile with a low action. Tuners are Sperzels, and the guitar has the aged parts kit as standard. it also has the G&L PTB system (passive treble and bass) which works a treat. Would love to keep it but bills mean I cant pics:
4.
I love synths & when I record song demos at home I'll use a synth for the bass part 9 out of 10 times. I find it makes me think about the bass part differently & I tend to come up with more interesting (to me) ideas than I would on a bass guitar.
+1. the synth bass sounds themseves can be hugely inspiring.
5. quick pic with the white plate put on top the gold one cheers Keir
6. yes Ray,very easy on the shoulder. BUMP
7. got this off RayFW on here in a trade deal back in january of this year. Its a sweet bass but at the end of the day I guess I will just stick with my G&L SB-2 for passive tones. usual 08 features - thinner finish, high mass bridge, gloss headstock face, buffed rosewood board etc. It's finished in blizzard pearl which is just lovely and the best of the current colours imo. It has a few very small dings, nothing that could be seen from more than a few inches away. Its currently strung with flats and plays great. The bass didn't come to me with the fender case but I do have a Fender deluxe gig bag for it. it has the hang tags, owners manual etc. Also included are both the original parchment white scratchplate and a gold (MIM) one I got off NGH on here a few months back. £525 + postage no offers or trades thanks for looking Keir

9. ****NOW SOLD**** trans black Godlyke Deity fretless 4 Set neck Unlined 2 octave ebony fingerboard 3A flame maple top Ash back 18v preamp with 3 band EQ ( 2 x p/up output & mid freq trimpots inside control cavity) SGC MM + J pups Gotoh GB707 tuners Wilkinson bridge brass nut Top drawer construction, its got lovely rounded fingerboard edges and a low action all over the board with loads of mwahh. This was Godlykes top model, hand made in Japan and no longer in production. I bought the bass from eubassix on here in August 2008. I'd love to keep it but I just dont have the time to practice fretless due to my other music commitments. I've barely touched it in the last year and I dont see that changing anytime soon. the bass comes with the same gig bag I got it in. I'm in Ayrshire 20 miles south of Glasgow. Viewing/audition welcome. Will also send by 24 hour APC Overnight business account which does include inurance for the full value. the courier cost is £20 I closed my paypal account so will accept cheque/bank transfer or cash on collection/meet.
10. The 08 MIM 60's classic Jazz I have is not far off my 08 MIA Precision for fit and finish. I havent played enough of them to say whether I got two good 'uns but I'm pleasantly surprised with both, more so the mexican.
11. BUMP for a great bass. without doubt the SB-2 is my favourite bass I've ever owned/played/heard.
12. PM replied clip of the varitone here www.vimeo.com/1053204 cheers Keir
13. NOW SOLD! just took this in a part ex deal and I think its a sweet bass but last in first out as I need to raise funds for yet another skinny stringer I've long wanted 2008 model,Olympic White, usual heavy tinted maple neck (with some nice flame!) 7.25 vintage radius and thin vintage frets. was customised by jezzaboy with a badass II and a brand new varitone circuit imported from the USA (I have the original plate complete with v/v/t but not the original bridge. the bass comes with the fender deluxe gigbag.it has a teeny chip on the edge of the bridge pickup route, otherwise the bass is immaculate the plate has vol and tone on concentric pots, pan and the 6 way varitone filter knob, plus switches for bypass and series/parallel the varitone Gerry ordered for the bass is this one http://cgi.ebay.com/JAZZ-BASS-VARITONE-CON...id=p3911.c0.m14 £350 no offers or trades up till saturday this bass is available for collection (I'm 20 miles south of Glasgow) as I'm flying out on a late deal holiday this sunday. when I'm back a week later I'll be able to courier. cheers Keir
14.
This really is a stunning bass, having had a feel of it at Bass Direct - its mwaaah central! Shame that its not staying with you but someone will be very happy! Shame I'm having to rummage through dustbins for food at present!!! Nick
I'm sure you could sell something if you really wanted it
15.
+1 With all the great comments about build quality and that awesome Blizzard Pearl finish I'm actually considering buying a Precision, which is something I thought I'd never do.
Do it!
16. my 08 Precision is a better bass for sure than the 2 MIA Std P's I owned before. I like the light weight and the way it plays and sounds so good. neck pocket seems tighter too.details like the buffed rosewood board and glossed headstock all add up imo. my only niggle is the finish is dead easy to chip and dent but apart from that, great bass and the Blizzard Pearl finish is also the dogs danglies.
17. Gerry part ex'd his MIM 60's classic jazz bass against my Stingray at lunchtime today. A great guy to deal with once again. enjoy the StingRay mate! Keir
18. jezzaboy took this in a trade deal cheers Gerry once again! Keir
19. new pics with the black plate on (my preference). could take some more with the clear one if anyone wants them. the actual burst is less garish than it looks in the pics. its far more subtle looking in the flesh, not so much red. any marks are just reflections or fingerprints.
