1. I like to keep the Moderating Team busy On that subject, I think the modding team on BassChat are absolutely brilliant! There's no forum I've ever been to with staff like the hard working bunch here! Ace
 2.
Where do you put the velcro? Much love
On ya hat, to keep ya hair from standing on end when things start sounding sexy!!!
 3. A lovely meeting in the sun to talk bass and make a purchase. Great guy, effortless transaction!
 4.
Apparently the Captain Pugwash thing is largely urban myth. It is said that there is a character Master Mate which, if could be misheard as Master Bate if you want to hear it thus. Roger the Cabin Boy and Seaman Stains are apparently total fabrication.
Yeah I seem to remember the latter two characters were made up by a stand up comedian, though I forget who exactly.

I'm selling it because I am stupid, not because I don't like it. I love it. But I love some other toys more at this present moment and thus need to sell something I don't want to sell in order to fund them. Don't you just HATE that. Yes, this is kit I really want to hang on to. This is up for the chop and believe me I will withdraw this as soon as I can find a way to keep it! Pictures to come soon. Showing a little bit of rash here and there but it's in great condition. It comes with the rack mounting kit too. No footswitch. 6. Hey everyone, I have a TC Electronic G Major 2 19" professional effects rack that I need to sell. I'm selling it because I am upgrading to a new TC system, not because I don't like it. I love it, however I need to sell something to fund the new kit. Over the years I've amassed and owned a huge amount of TC kit including the G-Force, Nova Drive, Nova Dynamics, Triple C, C300, another G Major 2 amongst others. This is my second GM2 - I bought it as I missed the first one so much! So it's no surprise that this one is going in order to get another TC unit! £210 to include UK shipping. Pictures of the actual unit to come soon, for now here's all the web blurb. The unit works 100% and other than a tiny bit of rack rash and the odd scratch it is in BRILLIANT condition! Probably best to read the text and watch the videos here to see what this bad boy can do! 7. Hey everyone, I have an Aguilar TH500 with official Aguilar carry bag (and power cable of course) that I need to sell. I'm selling it because I am stupid, not because I don't like it. I love it. But I love some other toys more at this present moment and thus need to sell something I don't want to sell in order to fund them. Don't you just HATE that. This is up for the chop and believe me I will withdraw this as soon as I can find a way to keep it! Pictures to come soon. 8. I want to (quick release) mount mine in my 4u rack case, I just haven't decided how yet! I mean, that's a lot of pretty lights to hide, right?* * it's all about the lights.
 9.
Ive tried using compressors a few times over the years. Never really found i needed one, but i can see how they can help. The last one i had was the MXR one. It worked well and didnt really change my tone much, just tighten up things. At the moment i have a Seymor Duncan Studio bass compressor pedal, and this is a bit different to a lot of the others. You can blend back in certain frequencies from the unaffected signal, and this helps to stop louder low notes (for example) triggering the compression and cutting the higher ones. You can also set it to allow some of the low end signal through unaffected, and so the higher peaks get tamed without loss of low note definition. Ive never had ne that has this feature, and im finding really useful and a bit help during my transition from pick only to finger playing. Im sure i wont have it for too long but its the most useful one ive used. Not cheap at £180+ but for me it was worth it.
I love this compressor! It is excellent for all the reasons you mention. I'm also a huge fan of the TC Electronic Nova Dynamics and am rather excited to be getting my mits on a TC Electronic HyperGravity multi-band compressor too! Can't wait TC!
 10. Spector ! Look at the legend series.
 11. Thanks guys! Keep 'em coming! I'm thinking about the Jamman XT Solo at the moment. It might do the job. Hmmm!
 12. Hey all, I'm thinking about getting a loop pedal again. I already have a looper that can't save loops (or backing tracks for that matter) but I am looking for something that can. The pedals that come to mind to begin with are the Digitech Solo XT and Boss RC3. I am happy with the single pedal format, though a double I know will be easier to use practically given access to more functions without getting an external foot switch. Even that isn't a problem though! So, here's what I'd like ideally: Loop recording in stereo (some older pedals had stereo inputs but still only recorded in mono) Loops on an SD card - not a deal breaker but it'd be easiest to transfer tracks from my computer that way. USB would be an option too but I prefer the separate card function. Yes, I know I have a perfectly good iPad app to do the job, but my iPad is a bit long in the tooth now, i'd need to buy a bluetooth foot controller anyway and to be honest the device is serving it's time WAY better as a control surface for my DAW! ha! Nux Loop Core? any good? Thank you all!
 13.
Hi guys I've finally ordered my new amp, and it arrives tomorrow. But I'm a goon and didn't realise it only takes a Speakon, and I've only got 1/4" jack speaker cables. I've ordered the right lead, but it's gonna take a few days to arrive - I'm excited to try out the new head! Will this do, in the meantime? http://www.maplin.co...k-adapter-n25aj Thanks in advance
Yes, these are brilliant just to keep in the gig bag anyway. Mine does get used especially on those occasions that I 'have' to borrow a cabinet with my own heads.
 14.
Great to hear you're still a Happy Jack Says the man who deliberately lets his batteries run out during a gig? With systems like the Smooth Hound Classic that have a reliable battery level readout then you should have a backup set of batteries to hand but there's no need to replace them for each gig. Performance is the same from fresh batteries to almost dead 15 hours later.
Oh man! it's just a brilliant piece of kit! Still happy with mine too. I mean, wireless for beginners, this has got to be near the top of the list, not because it is in anyway sub-standard or 'budget minded', but because it's so damn easy to use.
 15. Love 'em on everything! - Oh and the customer care from D'Addario UK - well, D'addario all over is just brilliant.
 16.
Nope, Not here it isn't
Wait a sec - what model is this? One of these? Very interesting to find out if it is indeed! Now.. Fretless version....
 17. Had I have still had my GVB I would have gladly come to see you Max! - I'm afraid I sold it in the end. As I understand it, when I got it, there were only three in the country. I suspect that figure probably hasn't changed much. My suggestion would be to go direct to the Ibanez UK distributor and instruct to have one sent to your nearest Ibby stockist. Kinda how I got mine in fact! Ibanez have always been pretty brilliant with me so hopefully they'll do the same for you. As for the bass itself, well it's really nice actually. Maybe I should have spent more time with mine! I do agree though, the spacing feels very comfy on the left had for sure, but you will have to adjust your technique if you are used to a 19mm pacing on the right hand. But hey, I reckon you'll be fine! My Shukers are both 16mm and I find them fine to work with still. There isn't much else you can get on the market with a 14mm spacing, but I believe that Kahler (maybe) do a bass bridge that can go down to 14mm spacing for custom builds. Which would be my next suggestion.
 18. Here's a few moments! Edit - oh wait this is 2014!! ha ha. I've last year's too but I won't bore you!!
 19. I'll be there!!!! Hopefully this time I won't be nursing a massive nosebleed! That was a strange experience which kept me off the 'shop floor' for waaaay too long! This time I'll do more playing and hanging out with my favourite type of people! Dan
 20. Here it is in action - ignore the rest of the review (if you wish!) http://www.iguitarmag.com/magazine-editions/guitar-interactive-issue-36/edition-videos/dv_ebs_black_label_edition_pedals_review/
 21.
that bass looks sooooo sexy :-)

That looks terrific
Thank you! I love it! Very pleased with the sound too. All the electronics and hardware I did myself but as above, not the paint job.
