1.
Well, you will go to East Kilbride!!
Too true Jambo!! The thing is, they looked quite nice from a distance but rough close up. Part of the problem is I don`t drink, then they might have looked okay! As the old joke goes, I have never went to bed with an ugly woman but have woken up with plenty. (copyright Jimmy Logan, 1935) Jez
2. Doctor J, the liability must rest with Bassdirect as that is their business. It`s not as if he is a private seller. The onus is on Bassdirect to ensure that the goods he sells are what they say they are. I don`t get the posts stating that Truckstop is somehow partly to blame. He bought the goods in good faith as described by the shop and while I don`t suppose for a second that he was intentionally mislead, the law, as I understand it, is on Truckstops side. Jez
3. Well last friday in East Kilbride, 2 females were "stroking" the neck of my Jazz and saying that it was "long and hard, just as they like it." I might have enjoyed it but we were playing country girl at the time! And no I didn`t, ya dirty minded monkeys! Jez
4. That`s the exact same model that I have. You will love it!! Jez
5. Fakers club? Where do I sign in!! I think that most of us don`t think that we are that great, I certinly don`t. But I played a gig a few weeks ago with another band watching our every move and afterwards their keyboard/guitar player complimented me on my playing. Maybe he was just being nice but it gave me a lift for a few days. Don`t jack it in, you will only regret it in the future. We are bass players, so get out there and keep on Faking it!! Jez Fakers Club Member 7. (I see these stupid clubs on Talkbass all the time).
6. Gonna stop posting pics of and talking about fretless basses? Even though I can hardy play a fretted bass, I am now gassing for a fretless!!!! AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! Jez
7.
I love natural finish basses, P or not... but hey, look what my last GAS attack brought me
You wanna take that P bass back to where you got it, there`s no frets on it! That is one nice piece of wood you have there. Jez
8. I use a zoom for it`s tuner and if a song needs a bit of Fuzz. Or for hitting some spacey notes at obscene volume to piss off the guitarsit. But I think that with the range of tones you can get from the G&L, I don`t need to use any of the other enhancments on the zoom. Jez
9.
the '75 reissue in the glasgow store? - plays pretty good too!
That`s the very chap! Glad to hear it plays as good as it looks. Could be a good replacement for a certain Warwick..... Jez
10. Damage aside (or is it mojo? ) these are seriously good basses and well worth the cash. Buy it and you won`t be disapointed!! Jez
11. Well for the £2.50 that you will get for the Warwick....... Only joking If you feel like you need a change, go for it! A new bass always puts a smile on my face. On the other hand, if you really like the Warwick, why not try an outboard pre amp to give you a bigger variety of tones? Jez
12. Seems to be the way of things. You are looking for a ray for example and there`s nowt, then 3 beauties come along at once! Regarding natural finish, I was in guitarguitar looking at what I can`t afford and they have a corker of a Jazz. Lovely! Jez
13. Really good deal for someone, these are 600 quid new. And the couple I tried were really good. Should go fast! Jez
14. I think that you should read Geddy Lee`s opinions on his Rickenbacker in this months BGM. Might change your mind but it might not. If I had the dosh, I would buy one. Never liked em for a long time but now I think that they look cool as fluck!! Good interview as well. Jez
15. I for one wouldn`t pay that kind of money for a damaged bass, if it was on the neck or body. For that amount of cash, I would be looking for a pristine, just out the shop look. Not if it was a 72 Jazz though, of course Jez
16. They were invented so that, in the future, people would post on basschat questions like "where can I get a scratchplate" or "which scratchplate will fit my P bass." More than likley they were thought up to hide a dodogy bit of routing on early Fenders? Jez
17. Steve, can you not just jam a heavy plectrum between the top of the bridge pickup and the body as I have done with my G&L? Jez
18. Very bad news. The first band I got into when I was 12ish was the shads and I still listen to them. One of the original bass guitar gods. Jez
19. Alex, what yours should say on it is "made by Cort, the same guys who build G&L and Ibanez." So, we should just go and buy Cort basses as they are cheaper usually than Lakland, G&L and Ibanez. Jez

Well you asked for it, so here it is. I owned this at one time and traded it with DubJunkie, who sold it on. Mexican 60`s re-issue. It was a cracking bass, one I should have kept. Hope you don`t mind me hijacking your photo Keir. This one now belongs to Donnyboy. Mexican Standard. Right, get the Jazzez oot! Jez
21. That`s a nice photo, about time we had some good vibe topics about here. I asked my boy if he would like his pic taken with one of my basses and he told me to pi*s off. Anyone fancy a swap? Jez
22. Will someone buy the guy a set of cutters. I hate it when people leave the excess hanging off the tuners. Could take someone`s eye oot. Jez
23. Had a mark 1 version and it was a diva but far too ugly for me! This one will be a cracker for someone. Jez
24. I can`t be bothered reading all these posts again, just don`t seem to have the Tim. Did he ever re-appear or did he return to his toadstool at the bottom of the garden? Jez
25. That`s put me right in the mood for a bag of Jelly beans. Jez
