  1. This is a feeler for the moment as I`m not 100% certain of moving this on. It`s a Fender classic 60`s Jazz that I bought from guitarguitar last year. I lusted after one of these for a while as I really like the sunburst finish, reverse tuners, the gloss neck, tortiseshell scratchplate.... I am playing with a band at the moment in the studio and on friday took my Squeir P bass down for a change and according to the guys it sits a lot better in the mix as they say. I was going to get a P pickup fitted to this but it was gonna cost around £140 all in and it would destroy what the Jazz is all about. So what I`m looking for is a P bass. A classic 50`s, Mike Dirnt, a decent Mex standard, one of the classic vibe P basses or a Yam 414 or similar, you get the idea. I would do a straight swap for the classic 50`s or a Mike Dirnt but would be looking for cash my way for the others depending on what it is. As for a cash price I would be looking for around £460. As for condition, this has a few marks. A small ding on the front near the jack socket is the only one visable from the front, a small ding on top of the belly contour, 2 very small marks on the laquer at the end of the headstock-these are on the edge and cannot be seen from the front and one very small pressure mark on the back near the bottom. I have tried to photo them. I will be putting the original Fender strap pins back on. Any offers please pm me. 2. I try and keep as near as possible to the original bassline until I run out of talent/ability which can happen very quickly! After that I just make up a part that sounds ok to me and hopefully the rest of the band. Jez
  3. Bands would be great things if it wasn`t for the tossers that are in them! Take a break and you will return revitalised, a better man for the experiances you have had. Jez
  4. Right that`s it!! I`m away to listen to Cygnus x1. Their best moment from their best album. Jez
  5. Superb job there. Don`t usually like pink basses but the matching headstock really sets this one off. Jez
  6. Gabriel just bought my Ibby off of me. Really nice guy and no messing about. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks G! Jez

  10. I got this in a trade a couple of weeks ago from Pikeman. It is a brilliant piece of kit in fantastic condition but as I am bandless and in love with my Fender Jazz, I`m offering it for sale for £340 posted or £330 collected. As most of you are aware, the SR series have slim necks, are lightweight and the 500 has Bartolini pickups and active circut. It is fitted with Schaller straplocks and they will stay with the bass. There are no chips or any damage on the bass. If you need shipping, I will place it inside an old padded gig bag and pack it well. Please note the gig bag is intended for protection only although it could be used. Payment by paypal as gift or by cheque. If you are collecting the bass, I will supply a nice shiny Fender gig bag. No trades please. Any questions fire away..... 11. Weren`t the APF the guys who played Gilmours 50th birthday party? Not a bad endorsment. A few years ago I went and seen a Led zep tribute band, a whole lotta led I think, at the Ferry and the same year Page and Plant were touring. Guess which one was better? Yep the tribute band. £33 may seem steep but by all accounts it`s a highly profesional show and it`s not like you are gonna see the pinkies anytime soon. Jez
  12. I recently got a SR500 on here and tried a set of Status flats on it and found them too dull. I love the strings on my passive Fenders but didn`t like the sound I was getting from the Ibby. I have put the original Elixars that were on the bass back on but I don`t like them either! I`m gonna try a different brand of roundwounds, mabye Rotosounds. Jez
  13. Where is the gig Steven? A Ric replaced by a Mick? Whatever next! Have you any pics or have I missed them? Jez
  14. Fantastic palying and what a sound that guy gets. Great clip wot. I think after watching this I will take up the triangle. Jez
  15. Look on the (MR) brightside, at least there is no mention of the dredded "all right now." Any and every band that I have beeen intrested in playing with recently has this in their set. Jez
  16. Sold Chris a mic and he was a top man to deal with. Do not hesitate to do business with this man! Jez
  17. No mic stands Nik. Used the last one as a spear and threw it in the singers direction! Jez
  18. Sold Will a korg tuner. He put the money in my account before I had even shipped the pedal! Top guy and no messin. Jez
  19. Did a deal for my sans amp with Mark and the guy is a pleasure to deal with. No messing about and good comunication. Ta! Jez
  20. Ah it`s the old chicken or egg sitiuation! Get the chicken. (Bass) Jez
