Total Watts

1. Recent rebuild and some new additions. Flow goes: Tuner>Octave>Hamstead>Chorus>Helix (With Pedalnetics footswitches)>Dispatch Master>EP Booster Keeping my sub/synth all grouped together on the left. Helix is the brain, but I use it heavily between sessions. It's been a revelation especially with presets, snapshots and per bass settings. All powered by GigRig. Whilst I've never had any issues, I don't know if I would go with them again. The Helix needs to be the only system on the distributor, otherwise you get a terrible buzzing sound. So I had to buy 2 isolators to stop that. So by the time I bought all of that, I could've afforded a Cioks. I do love customising the size of the power cables though.
2. Aguilar artist here! Barnes and Noble (https://www.bandm.co.uk/) are the UK distributor for Aguilar. Did you reach out to them at all? Even before my endorsement I had nothing but great service from these guys.
3. I don't really see an issue with a dep or being a dep. If I have been asked to cover someone, it means that see my talent as good as the current bass player. I am there to fill that gig and thats it. Even if it means 6 - 8 gigs, no matter what, its not my gig. I am depping.
4. @paul_h Good to know Paul thank you! Yeh it is more about subtleties, when ever doing 16th stuff or ambient sounds for worship music.
5. @Sibob - Yes. Yes I am. And thank you for your validation.
6. I am looking to replace my Mooer Reecho as its a bit noisy when engaging the pedal and well I fancy a change too! Main uses for it are usually stuff about the 12th fret and just adding a slight bit of echo, not too prominent but to add a bit of colour. Thanks!
7. I have only watched demos of the AG700 in use and while this is no way to really decide on whether or not to purchase it, I wasn't blown away. As an avid fan of the Tonehammer 500, I have been so impressed with its versatility and sound. I received the best compliment last night for my tone as being thick. Put a big smile on my face
8. Two solid thumbs up! I have had two experiences with their team: 1. My Aguilar Tonehammer bag zips broke after only 3 months of use. Got a free replacement after showcasing the issue with Peter (UK rep at Barnes and Mullins Ltd). The current version seems to be fine, but I have a feeling it'll happen again. 2. I have the Tonehammer pedal and the blue LED light is not functioning. I have been offered a free courier to come and pick it up to be repaired. Even when working with the main support in the States, they have very supportive and always have an action point with an e-mail rather than questioning more and delaying the process. Thanks guys!
9. I really don't think you need to go and splash out on specific amps and pedals. Thats a kind of needless expenditure. I recently played in a run of 'Rock of Ages' (80's musical) and my main tone was: P-bass Rotowounds - Pick stuff especially and sounds great with chorus and distortion Chorus pedal - Aguilar chorusarus. But choose one that fits your budget Boss BB1X - High tone turned up. But choose one that fits your budget EQ on Aguilar head - Mid range boosted. That's it. Adjust the tone and settings per song, but I wouldn't make this a massive excursion. Do what sounds right to you.
10. Thanks guys! Was playing a showcase with the Chromes last night and they felt good. really good! But the LaBella's have been added to the shopping cart
11. Specifically looking at the: LaBella 760FL - 43/104 or La Bella 760FS 45/105 for a P-bass Playing style: various - pick, fingers - (pop, funk, rock) I have the D'Addario Chrome flats currently and they are good, but don't have that low thump I want. Also, there feels like there is a coating on them, which restricts my playing, which is why I reverted back to rotowounds for now. Anyone had them/using them? Thoughts/feelings?
12. Doing some Christmas down time reading and wondering if either option is better/preferred etc. I have the Aguilar 500, which has two speakon outputs on the rear. I have been pairing it with an Ampeg PF115HE and an Ampeg 210HE. I am currently just linking them both via a loudspeaker 1/4 - 1/4 jack cable. Is there any difference if I decided to grab 2 speakon cables and connecting both cabs through the head and not linking them with one another?
13. I have the Bose QC25 Over-ear headphones and they have been a fantastic investment for alot of travelling that I do. Only issue is that I am currently on my 3rd pair! Each time one of the ear pieces broke, but Bose's help centre is really good and i got a replacement fairly quickly.
14. what part of the velcro have you stuck the pedals the hook or the loop? The hook side is the sharper part of the velcro. The loop is the softer side. Is there any velcro already on the board?
