  1. I’ve got an Indonesian SUB Ray 4. Nothing wrong with it at all. Second hand for two hundred quid. Bargain.
  2. I sometimes chain my Zoom G3 with my Zoom B3n, if I’m feeling ambient-ish. The G3 supplies the delays, because they are the FX with a mix control on that particular device. The other guitar oriented stuff, like distortions, don’t really cut it. The B3n does the rest: envelope filters, octaves, choruses. i only use them together because it’s easier to toggle individual FX than swapping whole patches on the B3n.
  3. It’s harmolodics, innit.
  4. EBS Session 60. As loud as your family can bear, and very pokey.
  5. I think I remember BJ Cole experimenting with a MIDI output on his pedal steel.
  6. Rosewood board, binding, block inlays, on a white or red Jazz Bass, with a matching headstock.
  7. Wowser, I’m not a P guy, but that is very nice!
  8. And the god of bass spake, and did say that the number of strings shall be four, and they shall not be three, nor shall they be any number greater than four, but four shall be their number.
  9. I was in Kirkmichael, near Ayr, last week. By a gargantuan effort of will I did not contact Keir about this bass. What a relief it’s been withdrawn.
  10. Maple or other light coloured boards on a dark wood bass. No. More than four strings. No. Fan frets. No. Lots of fancy wood. No. More than 34” scale. No. The Sire headstock. NO NO NO NO NO. Stop it now. WTF?
  11. This is looking very good. I can imagine exactly how you feel about the control cavity business, but it looks like it will be concealed ok. Plus one for the saw rasp (Shinto rasp?). It's amazing how finely it can work if you are careful. Good luck and press on!
  12. A penknife and a kitchen grater will suffice for mostly undetectable repairs. On a Fender.
  13. And now we finally understand the derivation of the saying "put a sock in it". I thank you.
  14. I played one of these in PMT Oxford a few years ago. It was very nicely made, played and sounded great, just not really like a Jazz. More like a Stingray, dare I say it. (Ducks)
  15. I’ll have what he’s having.
  16. The most ergonomic and playable bass I ever had, by a very long way, was an Ibanez SR500. Great EQ too. It was just not my style in colour or vibe. I am shallow and vain.
  17. Just noticed this. Lovely looking thing 😍😍😍
  18. That is looking really good!
  19. You cunning, cunning, cunning blighter. Luckily I’m in Scotland this week, but very near @dub_junkie which is a bit tricky, since he is selling that nice Ray 34ca. Oh god it hurts.
  20. Boss RC-300 can be had for about £300, which is dear, but it has VERY comprehensive stereo routing features. Plus it has a very useable rhythm function.
  21. Cripes, sounds like they know what they’re doing. Thanks for that.
  22. I would appreciate your man’s name, too. I’ve got a poorly ZenDrive clone.
