  1. There's some great stuff around these days for sure; outstanding playing, teaching and gear reviews can be found easily on the platform. A development that I find interesting is that many of the productions have become incredibly slick and perhaps that has become an end in itself? Take Jonny Dibble for example - his technique and timing leave a lot to be desired but he seems to personify the modern 'unboxing/gear-review' presenter and is obviously very appealing. I wonder how much of that appeal is due to his skills in knowing the genre and audience, producing and editing chops and investing in top quality gear. An influencer with a bass? Just a thought - maybe it's always been like this!
  2. Quite! She needs a new home though - I'm medium scale on all my fours now and I've never been a JB guy anyway, but she's served me well as a versatile gigging bass that I didn't need to feel too precious about. Cheers, Tobie
  3. They're stupidly good for the money!
  4. Lovely in that colour! Glwts, Tobie
  5. This is an absolute bargain for a great comp with a tiny footprint. It requires a little familiarisation but it's Pigtronix quality through and through. Glwts
  6. TC Electronic Spectracomp. Great condition, with original box, no velcro but no original feet. Collection from M27 or add a fiver for postage. Cheers, Tobie

  7. This is in essentially as new condition - even in its original box. New price is £225 at Bass Direct so grab yourself a significant saving. Cheers, Tobie
  8. This is an absolute beaut!
  9. Really liking the look of it Marco!
  10. I had an SLS for a time and wish I still did - it was brilliant. Laney gear is so good and so underrated! Alas, I have too many amps at the moment. Glwts
  11. Cheers! I've had a gear overhaul over the last year, including migrating to medium scale. An active Shuker PM should be finished imminently to complete the trio.
  12. The hallowed Sofa-Shot Day arrived yesterday...
  13. Me. And probably anyone who favours a P-style neck over a J. 40mm perhaps could have satisfied both preferences? I'm still not overly keen - always feels like a compromise to me. 38mm nut width necks, touted as 'fast', are swapped into P-style basses more often than vice versa. Good technique, profile and finish are far more significant in rendering a neck 'faster' IMO. Horses for courses and all that...
  14. Very, very cool. Glwts
  15. I use a 200W Gnome with a matching 4Ohm 12" cab for monitoring sometimes. It's very capable. This will probably be more capable still. Add to that its portability and price and this will make somebody very happy. Glwts
  16. This looks fairly nuts and quite brilliant! Glwts
  17. Sounds brilliant in the BTW demo! Well-featured too, with the HPF, Scoop and Grit. Separate footswitches for the latter two would be even better but their absence wouldn't be a game-changer for me. I suspect I'll end up getting one of these even though I definitely don't need it 🙄
  18. Love these! Glwts
  19. The BB is a great pedal, largely badly represented in online demos. Glwts
  20. Ridiculously good and an absolute bargain! Glwts
