1. I think someone has a tested set for sale in the classifieds. I am very happy with my set and can see me purchasing them for the foreseeable future.
2. Ernie Ball Slinky Flats (Cobalt). Silky feel and sound like a roundwound string. Heard they might not be great on P-Bass from a few forum goers but they're great on my SUB Ray.
3. This may be my favourite of all three (THREE?!)! You have one patient and loving wife 😂
4. Beautiful, always wanted one of these, GLWTT.
5. Rehearsal last night and I loved my new Cobalts and so did the band. Cuts the mix and feel great.
6. I made the jump to flats a while back with Fender Flats. Found them surprisingly good. Currently trying EB Slinky Cobalt Flats at the moment to see if they cut the mix a bit more, again currently pleasantly surprised. Just need to see how they are at rehearsal.
7. Ernie Ball Cobalt (Slinky) Flats also match that description.
8. Did you pull the trigger? Bargain there!
9. Glad the bow hasn't effected the playability! Beautiful bass as well, on my bucket list too!
10.
Posts that could be misread outside of this forum, #286.
11. I've got such P GAS at the moment, on the hunt for a tidy loaded body..
12.
You're not the first person to say that! First was me, then another bass chatter. I got a pantone code for a shade of orange I liked and Mark made it for me. Not sure if there's a name but Capri is close enough.
Doubt it will be the last time either chap!
13.
This ones arriving tuesday... limelight .
IMHO, that's the nicest Jazz I have seen.
14. That looks awesome, love the Month Python homage! Let's not bicker over who killed who!
15. That looks awesome. If you're near Norwich anytime soon, I'd be interested in playing the baseball bat neck! GLWTS.
16. Hate to go slightly off topic but I hope you're going to get the honey blonde model 😍

I hope there was some Status Quo esque swaying with your guitarist with the matching V. Awesome build. Any temptations to paint it?
18. The Rascal is actually really growing on me. Shame on the price though, will wait for the Squire model!
19. GLWTS. Hope you get the monies to buy back that beauty!
20. That's a terrible story. Clearly the groom and brides fault though. Glad you all got out safely.
21. Finally got round to taking some photos of my SUB. Admittedly I would love the blue version but otherwise I love my SUB. Other holes are a bit more obvious because of the colour.
22. Beautiful. Edit: Actually, stunning is maybe more appropriate. Congratulations!
23.
I tried the Retrovibe pre in my Sub but far preferred the stock one so switched it back. The stock one sounds great, just a bit too loud. Somewhere in the talkbass thread are instructions from a Sterling rep detailing how to mod the preamp to resolve this, wiring the volume control after the preamp instead of before it and adding a resistor in somewhere.
Was it in part 1 or 2 as I'm struggling to find the post from the rep...
