1. I met Warren again yesterday, 3rd time he's popped over and I'm looking forward to the next one already because he's a top man. Selling or buying, you've no need to worry with Warren
2. Contact the UK distributor and have your serial number handy, they should be able to help you out. http://www.stringsandthings.co.uk/
3. SOLD Price includes postage. This pedal is cheap as it does have an issue, the attack switch only works in the off position, the 1 & 2 position are not working as they should. But the rest of the pedal works great and it sounds blooming HUGE! I just got this back from a pal who had it for a few years, I've got a Darkglass so this isn't needed. My Hermes postage included at £25 or £20 collected from Harrow. Cheers. Pedal shoot out video below:
4. £850 Relisted 27/7/18 Reluctant sale. 2015 USA Jazz Bass Std, with upgraded Lindy Fralin Split Jazz (Dual Coil) pickups, which are worth around £280 https://www.fralinpickups.com/product/split-jazz/. Nice and light for a Jazz, at bang on 4kg (8.82lbs), balances great and is the comfiest Jazz Bass I’ve owned. It’s in nice condition, minor signs of wear, set up nicely with D’Addario Chromes. The case has some damage to one corner. If my circumstances change I’ll withdraw it again, it’s a great bass, but Jazzes will always be behind P’s and Ray’s for me. £850, no trades please. Located in Harrow, HA1, collection much preferred as I’m unsure I can get this posted anytime soon.
5. Congrats I can't wait to hopefully see Warren's soon. Better cancel my credit card before he visits, love the concept.
6.
Not at the Village Underground in Shoreditch? I was there. It was brilliant.
That's the one pal. It felt all my Xmas's come early watching them jam together. Was a very special night.
7. Such a wonderful player, and an influence on myself too. Keith from PiL is one of my best friends, and back when I was 21 we started playing together. Given that Keith had played with Jah, and Flea, I found myself under immense pressure. But that wasn't a bad thing, and keeping it 'simple' like Jah was and still is a huge influence on me. I saw Jah and Keith do a Metal Box in dub style gig 5 years ago, his bass tone was like the comfort of the womb Huge respect.
8. One more for the Sabre's. I bought it this week, to correct a mistake I made years ago when I sold my 78 Sabre. Every time I hear old recordings of that bass it cuts deep, so I finally replaced it. Should have done this YEARS ago. I've had to let go of two stunning basses to do this, but I'm over the moon still and it's just as good as I remembered and some. My old Sabre was walnut brown and I always thought I'd only go for one of those. I couldn't find one in that colour but this one is so clean and gorgeous that I'm surprisingly not fussed at all. And as a bonus, I got the original case too Happy, happy days. 9. Sold a case to Jim, super easy sale and he even came early in the morning to collect it. Top man!
10. I just sold a bass that I'm quite fond of to Nicco, after meeting him I'm assured it's gone to a good home Easy sale, no hassles and a very nice guy.
11. Up for grabs is a Music Man hard case, no issues. I've had a Ray 4 and a Ray 5 in it. I'm fairly sure that Sterlings and Bongos have different cases. Sorry, I can't post this one right now so it's collection only. Cheers.
12.
This is like my experience there too - i spent a good two hours there a week or so ago, trying out a secondhand bass and comparing it against my existing one.
Lull addiction?
13.
Quick jaunt across the channel wont set you back much surely, particularly as a proprtion of what you'd spend on the bass.......

Eurostar to London, Harrow is only 45 mins by public transport... Could be there and back in 7 hours :-) And it's a very nice Stingray..
Thanks fella's, the cheques are in the post Now on hold.
14.
I'm kind of glad I wasn't in the shop for very long mind. The sycamore faced Wal was bloody gorgeous and this sparkly Roscoe was calling me, despite my not really needing, or even wanting, a 5 string: The photo really does not do it justice.
I couldn't agree more, that's far from my kind of bass yet in the shop it really is breathtaking, looks stunning. And whilst I'm here, I've had two visits there in the past 3 weeks and have enjoyed both of them very much. First visit, I was there for nearly 2 hours I think, but ended up not buying the bass. Their response was very understanding, professional and welcoming. Yesterday I went to check out a different bass, which I bought (that makes 3 happy purchases from them now). I was mostly helped out by Marcus both times, who it was a pleasure to deal with. Ashley and Mark were also great to chat too. I like straight talking no nonsense shops, if I wanted people crawling up my backside and faking pleasantries I'd go to my local car dealership No complaints and I'd go back again without hesitation.
15.
BOOOOO!!! :-) Hope this goes through mate, the GAS is killing me!
Well.... the guy who I held it for can't get the cash together so it's another GAS filled night for you my friend. Cheers
16. I've sold a silly amount of basses over the years and only regretted one, a 1978 Music Man Sabre that I sold in 2006 when I got my first pre CBS Jazz, felt right at the time but in the long run the Sabre would have gone the distance. I still have recordings of it that taunt me! So now that I've decided that I must let my Modulus go I'm also downsizing and will be letting go of my Ray 5HH to make way for a Sabre when I find one. I've been putting this off too long. There's an advert in the items wanted section, fingers crossed.
17. Bump for back on the market place - trades only.
18.
But for nearly a grand it shouldn't.
Too right. Such is life.
19.
I'm 5'5" To be fair the JA is a sweet looking bass but it'd look daft on me
The M4V is a slightly smaller Jazz shape, unlike the regular V4
20. Bump for Ewan, we've chatted in the past and he's a top bloke. Killer bass too, GLWTS
21.
That's just greedy, buying two at a time - no wonder they're out of stock! Out of interest, what was wrong with the neck?
He gigs a lot so that justifies the GAS, I mean spare Hopefully just very uneven frets causing various choking. As he only got it today I wasn't going to go full on investigating, but it's very clearly beyond being fixed by a set up and truss rod adjustments. It's Fender, it happens
22. Flea, meet Flea...
