As above. Could be an internal fuse? Valve amps can have them in addition to the regular obvious one, hence the standby light being on.

Players ones can still be found cheap and early ones can have a great mojo. I used a 71 Musicmaster Bass solidly for a few years with a PJ pickup combo, sounded excellent and to the point that a decent Producer I did some sessions for said to me "make sure you bring that bass!". It would have made an awesome Picollo bass, and I had plans for that but then I was able to use long scales again following an injury and sold it to buy a vintage Fender long scale. Would have been a very cool bass to keep back then if I could have.,.,

I once spent years looking at every jack plate on a Ric 4001 looking for 'RC' as that's March 1978. Eventually found a lovely Autumnglo bass with RC, and soon realised that owning a Ric wasn't as much fun for me back then as GAS'ing for one

I had a B3K, which is a damn fine pedal, but always felt it was 'too much' for me in terms of versatility and power. Just swapped it for the vintage microtubes and it instantly suits me better. Both are killer pedals though.

Just sold my bass to Andy, given that it was a reluctant sale I'm chuffed that it went to such a good guy. I had previously bought a bass from Andy, so now I can say that for buying, selling, drinking coffee with and shooting the breeze Andy is highly recommended

I just did a pedal trade with Dan after answering his advert. It's the first time I've done a straight swap trade and Dan made it nice and easy with friendly and prompt communication, service and honesty. Highly recommended. Cheers for the pedal!

Based on this http://www.guitarhq.com/fenderc.html that colour was discontinued in 1969. Still got a bad feeling about the originalality of the finish, especially as you hardly ever see Poly crack like that... and on an incredibly rear colour too? Mmm......

That one smells very dodgy Colin, you're right to be weary. I wouldn't ever call myself an expert, but having seen a large number of vintage basses I'm convinced that the finish and overall vibe doesn't look right at all for an original finish. I'm fairly sure that 71 seems late for a SFG, and custom colour plates were mostly white back then. Hope you still have that lovely '69

***ON HOLD UNTIL FRIDAY*** Hand made in Seattle, this is a stunning bass. As well as having a top end tone it's very light weight with perfect balance (not always the case with light basses). The neck pocket states that this was made for the 2015 NAMM show, it's something special and the neck is the nicest I've seen on a Lull. I bought it new from Bass Direct in May 2015. Weighs dead on 8lbs. Ash body, maple neck with Jazz nut width 1 1/2". It has a Nordstrand Dual Coil bridge pickup and a retro fitted Lindy Fralin Precision pickup. It originally came with a Nordstrand Precision pickup, which though good quality was too modern sounding and coloured for me. The two pickups work so well together on this bass, it's a great match as you can now have a vintage style Fender tone or modern tone when both are on, or when the bridge is solo'd. It's worn flats all it's life so the frets are spot on. It now has rounds on for the sale. There is a small ding which I'll photo, nothing major at all and some superficial scratches and knocks. There is also a small mark on the neck where I smoothed out a tiny ding, it can't be felt at all when playing. It used to have a working toggle switch, which is no longer wired up, so there is a new hole in the pickguard. I will also include a black Mike Lull made pickguard in the sale which does not have the new hole. Comes with Lull certificate and Protec Case. This is a very reluctant sale. I've decided today to increase my share of the 'part rent/part buy flat' I live in so the funds from this bass will pay for the fees and solicitors. Those that know me, will know that I thought this was a keeper, but I recently cleared my savings out buying back my old 66 Precision, so rather than make that mistake again I'm selling this one. Not an easy choice, but a Lull won't be as hard a bass to buy again in the future. NO TRADES PLEASE - 100% genuine reason for sale.
