1. I like the finish but the control layout seems a bit silly and I am not sure they would get nearly a grand for it seems far too expensive
2. Hi Gary, why thank you kind sir I am still unable to drive anyway I have found a few soundclips online and they sound like the sound I am looking for so penny saving time cheers chaps
3. A Big fat NO from me but I would not mind paying a small fee to rent a bass for a weekend or something to try it out properly at home
4. Cheers Lozz I am thinking it is time to save my pennies and go for the quarter pounder the stock Fender pick up is great but I just want a bit more "beef" if that makes sense?
5.
Has anyone used Paul at Arrowhead Guitars for anything?
I was also wondering about that, I looked on his website and his prices seem fair but do not know anybody who has used him
6.
All P pups are in effect humbuckers. I wouldn't get anything below the 50 quid price bracket if you want to upgrade a stock Fender pup.
Hi thanks for that any Pickup recommendations guys?
7. Very good review and it sounds like the bass is a right bargain. Love the colour and blocks
8. Hi guys I am thinking of upgrading my pickups in my Fender P bass now I really know sweet FA about Pickups Do I need hum cancelling or not? I normally play hard rock/metal I would really like an SPB-3 quarter pounder but are there any alternatives out there worth looking at I quite like the look pf the Tonerider TRP1 it seems like it has a fairly hot output 11k but that is not hum cancelling (does that matter) I have also looked at the Tesla Pro P bass pickup that is dual coil? but seems fairly hot at 11.2k but like I say I really dont have much idea about them to be honest and my bass is passive. Thanks in advance http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TESLA-PRO-P-BASS-STYLE-PICKUP-ALNICO-MAGNETS-SCREWS-INCLUDED-B-N-I-B-/331107265771?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4d1787eceb http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tonerider-P-Bass-Guitar-Pickup-Precision-Plus-pickup-in-Black-TRP1-BK-/370958915452?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item565edfd77c
9. MB1 has a nice Westone fretless for sale on this very forum and it looks pretty damn good and is more than fairly priced IMO
10. I don't think I need effects but I think they improve my playing in the way that the tune I am playing sounds more like the original I am trying to copy and they are also good fun to play with I cant compare them to Garageband as I have never used it
11. I bought a pedal from Dan his communication was ace and he got the pedal to me really quickly all good here would deal with Dan again.
12. Cheers chaps so it looks like the drill needs to come out for these to fit then as I presume I need new mounting holes?
13. why does 1 person always spoil it? anyway petition signed
14.
bump, can't believe this is still here with all those overpriced basses flodding the forum these days, if you want a quality instrument that wont cost you an arm and a leg you should really check this out, she sounds and plays wonderfull and i think the price i'm looking for is more than reasonable for an instrument of this quality that has seen very little use... or is it just me thinking that..
Its not you I just think that not many people have the money to spend on basses atm I know I don't but your bass is nice GLWTS
15. Hi could any of you guys tell me which Wilkinson tuner is the right one for a Mexican P bass please? I have had a look on the web but have not really found out what I want. I want a tuner that is an exact retrofit as I don't want to be drilling any holes and stuff in the bass and as the other hardware is Wilkinson I thought I may as well have it matching and I am looking for chrome elephant ear tuners. If anyone has a set in good condition they want to sell let me know please Thanks in advance
16.
Enough to pull the trigger it would seem... I'm terrified now!
Did you buy it?

18.
Most kids have the flu bug this time of year. Good to see this . My dad never gave me any encouragement .
Same here Ray I never got encouraged either
19. Well I have been playing the bass badly for a while and my kids have become really interested in guitars and music which I think is great my 10 year old lad is plodding away learning the 6 string and getting on well and my 2 year old lad is fascinated with my practice bass so he has been making some very weird and wonderful noises with that and has developed a new playing style where you lay the bass on the floor and do weird things to the strings glad its my cheapo bass lol anyhow he keeps saying guitar so Mrs T and myself have bought him one of those tiny little kiddie guitars from ebay so he can strum along with his dad I think it is great the boys have such an interest in music at such young ages who knows they could be the next virtuoso but joking aside it is great also that they have chosen to do it of there own free will
20. That was awesome Bill if I was half as good as you on the bass I would be a happy man
21. Hi can I claim the bassballs nano please? PM sent
22. Hi Welcome, If it was my bass the first thing I would to is take it to my luthier for a set up and restring and get him/her to give it a once over and advise you on any issues if there are any I would say this would cost about £45-50 with new decent quality strings but it can be done cheaper just need to get a few quotes really I would strongly advise against using WD-40 on your bass I would use proper products like a chrome cleaner of guitar polish something like that will do the trick.
23. Harley Benton gear is really good for the price point IMO just chuck some decent strings on it and give it a set up and you have a cheap usable bass
24. I thought that was really cool
25. This has to be worth a tenner of anyones money I have one of these and it really is not a bad pedal for what it is GLWTS
