Hi I am really getting in to experimenting with the blues and wondered it any of you guys can recommend me a book that shows various versions of blues a beginner book would be good just to give me something to play about with or even a website that has lots of 12 bar blues type stuff I looked at this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dave-Rubin-12-Bar-Complete-Inside/dp/1617808679 and it is the kind of thing I am looking for but if any of you guys have any others you can recommend let me know please Thanks in advance

If I send it then I am responsible until it arrives with the buyer safely but I always get a tracking number and receipt to cover myself if god forbid the item was damaged in the post I would chase it up not the seller. The only problem I have sometimes you sell to some one a bit dodgy on ebay and they have damaged the goods and ask for a refund or say it was never posted luckily this has not happened to me and I hope it does not but I know of a few people on here who have been shafted like that not good

Will try and make this one transport/health depending would like to put faces to some of the names on here

I always used to like my action as low as it would go but now I am finding a slightly higher action better it is still low but not stupidly low. and the thing is most people have varying views about action anyway I was selling a bass that myself and a few other players I know thought the action was seriously low then this one guy tried it and thought the action was high so now I just set it as I like it and if I sell the bass on I just let the buyer set it up how they like

If I recall correctly the shaft size for these Yammys is 6mm but I am not 100% sure

Are Mexican basses really underrated ?
The quality is variable, just like it is for everything... apart from Yamaha. Squiers are definitely above MIMs in the food chain, imho.
I disagree so that makes you wrong lol but joking aside I have owned a couple of Squires and they are nowhere near as good as my MIM maybe I was just lucky with my MIM ? -
What's confusing me about this ad is that it states the item has been withdrawn on the second line and did the last time I looked at it before it was bumped today.
I think he has put it back up for sale and forgot to edit the ad simple mistake but I wish some one would buy it quickly so I don't have to keep looking at it lol...any how you can buy from Lozz in total confidence

I have a Mex P bass and I love it it is not the most expensive bass I have ever owned but the quality is great the sound is great (I am changing the pup though for something with more oomph but the stock pup is great just personal choice) it really is my go too bass I play it everyday I have never been a Fender fanboy but this bass ticks all my boxes -
Yup that's the fella. Sorry for the previous short reply. I didn't read your post asking if the size before you edited it - just read the original version that was in my email notification
Thats OK I appreciate your answer and help
-
It is.
Thanks must be a 3/16 then off to ebay lol
Head off down to B&Q. Buy a set of allen keys. They won't cost much. One of them will fit the truss. Handy for setting up the saddles on your bass too.
Believe it or not I have a full set of keys but they are all metric and I think the truss rod is Imperial
-
I would not especially as it is from abroad and you will get nabbed for duties might as well by one here I don't have a clue what they go for S/H though
-
Hi I would like to adjust my truss rod on my Mex P bass but it looks like I need a special tool as it looks like a normal Allen key wont fit and I don't want to try one in there and risk damaging the truss rod nut I think I may need a 3/16 wrench bit if some one could just confirm that is the right size please Thanks in advance

I have tried a few bridges and always seem to go back to a BBOT but I think the Gotoh 201 is the best value replacement

I get really down in the dumps at times as my hands are medically F---ked lol so I am pretty much having to relearn everything my fretting hand once knew I know it in my head but my hand don't wanna know but all I do is keep plodding on and trying and I have nothing to prove to anyone, I know I am not the best bass player in the world and I never will be but I enjoy playing and that is what keeps me going and enjoying it so just carry on at your own pace and stop beating yourself up it really aint worth it and feeling down will only make your playing worse or force you to give up if I am having a bad bass day I stop playing go and make a coffee sit and have that and a smoke calm down a bit then pick the bass up again and start a fresh, maybe you are pushing yourself too hard? anyway I don't get down and keep on smiling
