3. Well a mate of mine came round yesterday and he is a sh*t hot player so I had a go on his bass and when it was in my hands I could not think of one thing to play and then when I did think of something it sounded like my 3 year old was playing lol so I have decided to give myself a stern kick up the arse and try and play for an hour every day and keep a log of how I play and feel I am super critical of my playing anyway but as soon as I pick up my bass even in front of my Mrs it all goes to pot I do not know why but is really effecting my playing now and I suck lol I do have problems with my hands (long story) that bothers me when I play but I think I need to practice more as I never used to be liked this and quite often enjoyed a little jam now and again, I am not the most sh*t hot player at the best of times but am really gonna pump it up and give it some welly and play lots of new stuff in fact I am going to start again from page 1 of the learning curve and try and get my mojo back
 4.
I don't think you can beat white and maple. Especially Creamy Olympic White and Aged Maple... preferably with a black pickguard.
No you are wrong mate black body tort plate maple board mmmmm but white is pretty fine also

 8. Status Flatwound Strings 45-105 these have had about an hours use max I had a problem with the original E string as it seemed dead so was sent another one from Status but I really do not like the sound of it so am sticking with my Warwick strings as I like more of a twang than a thump so this set will come with 2 E strings not in the original packaging £15 quid gets these to your door if you need any pics let me know and I will take some

 22.
The strings arrived so ive lashed them down onto a newly built p bitsa, 1st impressions when opening the pack, are they rotos? i put one of each side by side and they look and feel very very similar but thats where the similarity ends, once strung on the p (previously strung with a set of Fender flats) i had to raise the saddles and slacken the truss rod a touch as they were dragging on the fretboard, theyre lower tension than the similar gauge fender which are in turn lower than rotos, win win as far as im concerned, they feel very nice like most flats do. Sound wise, not quite as bright as the Fenders probably due to the tension but perfectly acceptable and theyre certainly not as dull and thuddy as either status or picato. Would I buy more, damn right i would for the price i think theyre a winner!
Nice one Jeff think I will give them a whirl I really liked the Status flats but have had the dead E string issue (twice now) like lots of other people, Status are great changing the dead string but it is a hassle I could do without at 20 odd quid a set.
 23. I used one for a while when I first started playing with effects I did not like it but I think that was my lack of knowledge of effects rather than the pedal itself. I now use a boss SD-1 and really like that so may try an ODB-3 again some time in the future
