5. Olympia Flat wound strings has anyone ever tried these? and are they any good? I was thinking of trying flats but did not want to spend much incase I do not like them so I am going to maybe take a punt on these or should I pay the extra and get some Status flats? Thanks in advance
 6.
I'm thinking of getting some heat shrink tubing to mark my cables up but have a couple of questions. From what I understand most of what's available has a shrink ratio of 2 to 1, so it effectively halves in size i.e. a 12 mm bore tube will shrink down to 6 mm bore. Is this right? How much does it stretch (if at all) before you shrink it? i.e. can you stretch it over a Neutrik plug or would you need to remove the plug, slide the tubing over the cable and then re-solder the plug back on? How exactly do you shrink it? I've read that you can use a hair dryer but some of the tubes quote a 70 degree centigrade heat required and I don't think many hair dryers would run that hot, would they? Any words of wisdom, or suitable alternative methods for marking my cables appreciated.
Dont buy any mate I have some here if you want it easy way is to take the plug off and resolder it back on though anyway I got all the stuff and it is yours if you want it

 9. Awww keep it mate you know you will only miss it and end up buying another that will cost you more in the long run but GLWTS anyway
 10.
With that amount of detail this will fly out the door.
Agreed especially at that price but on a serious note if you want to sell a bass that is 8 grand pictures and a bit more of an effort in the description might be the way to go anyways GLWTS

 14.
£100 offer still stands my friend!
15. I think flats are worth a try if it was my bass I would not really fancy having it routed out as 1 that finish is very prone to light cracks no matter how careful you are and 2 I really think it will spoil the bass and not really give you what you are looking for now this is only a guess as I am unsure what the wiring is like in there but would a varitone switch be an option? it would sure give you a better range of tones As you know I am like you and could never get on with the Stingray type sound is why I moved it on. I think it could well be worth while giving BC's very own Ki0gan a PM and see what he might suggest as he is very helpful and knows his stuff and his work is second to none on the wiring front Sorry I cant be much help Oh and happy new year to you and yours mate
