I often play my '64 Precision in church, which is nicely beaten up and aged with lots of paint missing etc. I'm sorry but I first read that as it being your church that was badly beaten up and had lots of paint missing.I'm so sorry,really.nice bass though.

[/quote] I totally agree.I can't believe that anybody would refuse to cover a song just because they 'dont like it'.You're there to please a crowd,not yourself.That anyone would consider knocking back the chance of playing with a live band just because they dont like 2 of the songs on a setlist is beyond belief.

Done.I dont ever get nervous before a gig,no matter the size of a venue.Never have except from my very early days.(I'm 63 now). But dont ask me to perform in front of family gatherings,parties etc.For some reason it scares the hell out of me and has led to some rows in the past when somebody has thrust a guitar in my sweaty hands and commanded 'Give us a song.You play in a band dont'ya!',and I've refused point blank.I'm completely overcome with nerves.Dont know why.

Its gen up OK.I use one at the minute and had a previous one a few years back.They're OK basses as it goes although the neck is very wide,and the earlier ones had problems with poor outer string response (B+G) due to the use of 4 -pole pickups.The J-pups are strange,granted, for a so-called P-Bass.

Nearly every cover that James Taylor has done. eg Up on the Roof,Handyman and even Hound Dog.But NOT Day Tripper off the 'Flag' album.Love the man.

Same here.Teenage Kicks always gets a crowd going.We're a bit biased tho,being from Norn Iron.

TE Boxer 15 at home.I've even used it at a couple of 'acoustic' pub sessions with my acoustic/electric bass.Plenty loud.

If there's one thing I hate its a pub with too many TVs.Especially when they're left switched on while the band are playing.Thanx to a much publicised boxing match between N.Irish boxer Carl Frampton and Mexican Alejandro Gonzalez all the pubs TVs were on when we loaded in and were left on right through the gig.OK Frampton won but the crowd seemed to be there for the fight and not much else.As the pub was packed to the gunnels,we then had to load out through said mob into pouring rain.Down with this sort of thing!

One of regular usual gigs (once a month) in Quinns,Newcastle,Co Down usually ends in the following:We play the last note of our final number at around 11.30 pm and the DJ immediately lets loose with an onslaught of verry loud dance music.The crowd are already on the floor so no problem there.However we have then to load out through said crowd.A complete PITA I assure you.BUT last night the DJ was nowhere to be seen come our last number.We finished and one of the bar staff approached us and offered us an extra £100 if we'd play till 1.00am.having played since 9.00pm we said sure but we'd need a short 'nature' break.During this break the same staff member decided to have a go with the house sounds and manged to get some sounds going.The manager said 'OK guys,I don't need you now but heres an extra £50 for offering to stay on'.So we ended up with £100 per man.Result!

And another.Oh and by the way,its "That stretch down South won't ever stand the strain".

Just a random thought,and probably miles off.Could the trouble be at the other end of the cable?Is it always plugged into the same input on the amp/desk.Could there be a fault there?Give it a wiggle down there next time,or try another input.The angled jack could be just coincidence.Like I said,probably miles off,but hey....

Do NOT let that go! Complain like F**k to Parcelforce.That message on the P739 card is not valid,and the delivery driver should be taken to task.Its good that you have pics to back up your complaint.I spent over 20 years working for that mob,and I've seen a lot worse,but that is unacceptable.
