I actually have it on the shortest setting and it’s bang on! I like my bass in the same position standing as when I’m sitting.

Love these pedals. I haven’t ever found a filter that has the same squelch on the low end. Everything else I’ve tried has a kind of whistle sound when pushed whereas the FX25 just burps.

I think weight does affect the sound, but it’s merely one of a whole range of things that affect how a bass sounds and feels and by no means the most important. And even then, the weight could be beneficial or detrimental to the sound when mixed with different factors like electronics, neck type, hardware, strings, even the finish. As such it’s impossible to say, and the only way to judge an instrument is as a sum of its parts.

The LMB3 is a very good limiter imo.

I use Bose AE2W for music and bass playing (using the optional cable for the latter) they sound near enough exactly like my bass does to the desk and they handle the range of the instrument really well. Can be had fairly cheap too.

Another thing to recommend is that the strap weighs virtually nothing.

I’ve tried lots of straps now and each has had something which spoilt it. I took a punt on this Ibanez strap I saw for £30 and I’m pretty chuffed. My bass isn’t heavy but I do like the feel of wider straps. This one is really grippy and looks to be well made. One thing I like is that the strap itself is really thin. I’ve tried Mono straps before and they’re too thick for me. Anyway just putting it out there as a potential for those of you looking for an alternative to leather or the usual Mono or Comfort strap options. Excuse poor pics but it’s called an Ibanez BWS90 they do a more Mono style thick version too. Cheers
