    Ramp??

    Some people prefer the feel of it. Otherwise if you play between the pickups there’s quite a gap below them to the body. Sometimes having a ramp can encourage more consistent and accurate playing. I’ve had them in basses before, but only in basses where the pickups don’t naturally act like a ramp anyway.

    I’ve only ever seen a series 1 in green burst and it used to belong to Jason Newstead. Lovely bass. Mine is an 88 too!

    Yeah the original 2x8 and 1x10 have a little cradle for the head - the combo appears to be basically the same but the head is attached (don't think it's removable - if it is, then they've basically released a 1x8?)

    Bit weird how they think anyone would need an Elf combo, it’s not like the amp doesn’t fit in your pocket anyway - a combo just makes it less portable surely?!

    I just mean that I’d have the FI on my desk and turn it in and off with my hand rather than stepping on it so rather than footswitches I’d prefer a button I can press, although some footswitches buttons are ok to press by hand. Probably a faff to change though

    For my use I’d prefer no footswitches, instead some finger friendly buttons would be better. Not that I expect you to make one specially or anything!

    I reckon google have allowed a dodgy ad through. We use Adsense for some ads and it’s controlled by them.

    It suits the shape of your bass better too- the Stingray looks weird because the horns are really dark. Plus it looks gross.

    I think that looks appalling. Kind of like the bass is see-thru and you're actually looking at the festering insides of the player's stomach or some such

    😆 In all seriousness I have passed it on up the chain and will report back. But last time we came back clear and it was a user with malware. @Beedsteryou may have seen it when we had the issue with Google Adsense a few months ago?

    I see your point, but I rather like the fact they keep making so many random bits. It's that sort of approach that can produce an absolute cracker now and then - rather than boring safe designs based on someone's something else.
